War, war never changes…
AMC’s adaptation of “All-Out War” is now on the verge of its explosive finale, and at least according to series showrunner Scott Gimple, The Walking Dead fanbase has no idea what’s coming.
Slated for a premiere on April 15th, which just so happens to be the same date of Fear The Walking Dead‘s return, season 8 of AMC’s undead flagship will come to a head with the extended “Wrath,” and we’re now learning that the show’s creative players hope to deliver a sense of resolution and closure in two weeks’ time.
Via TV Line, Gimple previewed 8×16 as so:
We will see a resolution of the war. It might not be what people are expecting. It might not be what some of the characters even want. But it is a conclusion, and they have to deal with its aftermath.

The Walking Dead season 8 has been described as many things by many people – bloated, exhilarating and at-times infuriating…to name just a few.
It’s a reception that has been reflected in the show’s official ratings, too, which have spent the past number of months vacillating between solid and downright atrocious – not since season 1 has The Walking Dead posted a score below 3.0 among the 18-49 demographic, though its viewership has been rising steadily ever since “The Key,” which certainly bodes well for April’s season finale.
Speaking of which, last week’s episode, “Do Not Send Us Astray,” received a bump in the numbers, too, clinching a 3.0 rating in that key 18-49 demo, with 6.774 million viewers tuning in for what was another solid outing for the zombie drama. Granted, these ratings are still quite a ways away from earlier in the season – especially the premiere – but it’s nice...

Nipping at the heels of Sunday’s “Do Not Send Us Astray,” AMC has pumped out an extended clip for The Walking Dead 8×14, and it’s every bit as breathless as you’d expect from a series that’s fast approaching its explosive finale.
With the Hilltop and its ragtag community still reeling from last week’s attack – you can thank Simon (Steven Ogg) and Dwight (Austin Amelio) for that one – 8×14 turns things up a notch with a dose of full-blown warfare. Negan and his Saviors have their backs against the ropes, which, in turn, opens up a window of opportunity for the vengeful Rick Grimes.
Officially titled “Still Gotta Mean Something,” Sunday’s all-new installment promises to be a big one for Daryl and Rosita, too, who will seemingly come into contact with an “old friend,” according to the episode’s official logline:

Director Jonathan N Dixon.
Filmmaker Jonathan N Dixon took some time off after his last film, the 2011 horror-thriller Wrath, to spend more time with his daughter.
He moved to Noosa and took up surfing after a long absence from the waves, and slowly but surely a new film idea began to seed.
"Everybody I went surfing with knew my background in film and TV and would always talk to me about sharks", Dixon told If.
"Only a year ago, a seven-foot tiger shark hung around for a couple of days. We all got out of the water, but what did we do the next day? Get back in. We take that chance all the time because of a passion for surfing".
"A surfer-and-shark movie has never been done, probably because of the difficulty - because it's a bastard to shoot when you're on the water!" (laughs)

"The first thing that people say is, ‘Oh, are you making another Wolf Creek?'" director Jonathan Neil Dixon tells us about his feature debut, which follows a road-tripping group of friends who become terrorised by three unknown strangers. "Wrath is not a serial killer movie and it's not a gory movie either. Sure it has its moments, but really it's a psychological thriller that takes the audiences on an uncertain rollercoaster ride with twists and turns everywhere.
