Most important season 3 episode so far
igoatabase13 November 2008
Warning: Spoilers
I couldn't disagree more with the reviewer comparing Camilla to a "whining dying lady" and writing Dexter is "not about a fat woman crying every week". First she has cancer and all people suffering in the world deserve respect. Second she was like the mother Dexter never had. And last but not least, her swan song was very important to hear. So I'm glad this episode was a special Camilla. Thanks to her euthanasia was covered. It was very interesting because I don't know about America but in France the subject is highly controversial and even a law, the Vincent Humbert one, was signed by 300 000 people ! The episode was also a bit religious as Dex learned more about mercy, when he thought he already knew all about it. I also found interesting that Camilla knew more about his brother than she told him when health wasn't an issue. And what Dex told her before she died was just priceless. So I'm sad Camilla is gone now even if she was playing a minor role. May her fictional soul rest in peace.

Next, Albert Chung. This episode made me realize how funny Vince can be. All his Asian jokes were good and I think it's the funniest Dexter episode so far. The socks, the news coverage, the photo on the newspaper. The new "vilain of the week" was so smoothly introduced and his impact on the season so important. All the characters were revolving around him. First Ellen Wolf morality was questioned. The meeting between her and Miguel was entertaining and for once we weren't the only one watching, Dex was too as he was smiling in the background thinking they were like sharks fighting in a fish tank. Second Miguel used Chung as an excuse to place Ellen on Dex slice list. By the way I can't wait to see what will happen to Miguel now Ellen and Maria have teamed up. After hesitating he refused because she's just doing her job. But instead of weakening their friendship, it made it stronger and now Dex and Miguel are true friends. It was interesting to hear Miguel saying Dex did the hard thing, saying no.

Last but not least, Deb and the Skinner case. Jennifer Carpenter is such a talented actress ! The scene where she reveals her lead to Batista and Quinn was mesmerizing and so funny. The crazy camera angles, the café overdose, the papers all around the floor, her acting… Moreover it made the whole Quinn arc even more mysterious because I still can't picture his role this season. And what about Yuki showing up all the time from nowhere ? Sometimes I even wonder about Batista's new girl friend. Anton also had a very important role and I can't wait to see what happens in the upcoming episodes. There're so many characters involved ! It's a bit like if Deb was trying to figure out the puzzles the Skinner made up for her, of course I'm referring to her past bad experiences.

So I'm glad Dexter is right back on track because I was quite disappointed by all the butchery that happened in the previous episodes. I really liked All in the Family but Turning Biminese and Sì Se Puede were too much for me to handle. For me Dexter is not about a serial killer slicing bad people into pieces, it's about a broken human being trying to reconnect emotionally with the world. Rita, the kids, the upcoming baby, his work pals and new best friend Miguel, his lovely swearing sister… I want him to get better because if someone like Dex can be fixed, then it means there's hope and impossible things can be accomplished.

A Friend does the Right Thing – The Most Touching and Dramatic Episode of Dexter
claudio_carvalho26 January 2011
Dexter helps Camilla, who is slowly dying of terminal lung cancer, to move to a hospice to spend her last days, and she asks Dexter to bring a good piece of key lime pie first and then she asks Dexter to perform euthanasia later. Rita asks Dexter to prepare a list of guests for their wedding. Miguel asks Dexter to select the defense lawyer Ellen Wolf as a future victim. Meanwhile a former valedictorian woman is murdered and Dexter notes that the burglar had taken off his shoes and walked wearing socks, and cut one of his foot. Masuka immediately recalls that the MO is the same of the Asian criminal Albert Chung. Skinner is the top priority of the Miami Metro Police Department and Angel decides to use Anton as bait. However Debra compromises the investigation and asks Anton to move to Chicago. Dexter concludes that a friend does the right thing and injects sodium pentathol in a piece of key lime pie that he gives to Camilla; he deliver a list of names he had enrolled to Rita; and he tells Miguel that Ellen Wolf is doing her job and can not be murdered for that. Further, he invites Miguel Prado to be his best man.

"Easy as Pie" is so far the most touching and dramatic episode of Dexter. Ms. Margo Martindale shines in this show and her performance certainly moved any sensitive person to tears. The euthanasia was a magnificent decision of Dexter. The character Vince Masuka has improved a lot with his ironical and witty comments. My vote is nine.

The perfect pie

Warning: Spoilers
1. Camilla asks Dex to kill her and he does so.

2. Angel scores 3. Deb always finds a man for each season, this time Anton

Dexter is consciously inviting more relationships into his life. As he breaks off from Harry's chains which forced him to stay alone he's exploring different types of relationships. Season three focuses on friendships, especially with Miguel. In this regard we see another Character development moment for Dexter. He's like a toddler learning how to cultivate relationships. Will just hurt him in the end? Or will this help him? We shall see.

Dexter Helps A Friend In Need!
g-bodyl25 October 2014
This is the seventh episode of the third season of Dexter and it's a surprising emotional episode and one that will hang around in your memory. We see a much softer side of Dexter and also this episode beings light to a controversial issue regarding whether it's right for the terminally ill to end their life or not. I won't state my opinion here, but the whole subject of this really increased the emotional magnitude.

In this episode, "Easy As Pie," Dexter reluctantly allows Miguel to help him with the killing, but differences ensue right away when Miguel chooses defense attorney Ellen Wolf as a victim. Debra is worried that Anton may be the new victim of the Skinner. Dexter also tries to put a list of the guests to his wedding and is really worried about the declining health of his friend, Camilla.

Overall, this is a really good episode thanks to the heartfelt moments between Dexter and Camilla. I nearly cried during some moments and that is rare, especially for a Dexter episode. One of the best episodes this season. I rate this episode 10/10.

Fantastic- Makes me love this series even more

Warning: Spoilers
Dexter has been my favourite show ever since I started watching it. Micheal C Hall is an amazing actor. Jennifer Carpenter is great and Julie Benz is hot. This episode makes us feel for dexter. He is living in denial but he is extremely emotional and great. He follows the code and we love him for that. Even though his father had erred and he was not a perfect human being but we must all follow the teachings of our fathers. Dexter is really well made. An awesome experience.

Lovely Episode [8.8/10]

Warning: Spoilers
My Reaction / Review for Dexter Season 3 Episode 7 ''Easy As Pie'' (S3. E7): Episode 6 was awesome and I gave it a rating of 8.8/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. Lately the show could be called Dexter and Miguel and I like it, their friendship is so entertaining to watch. Camilla is dying and it sucks. Camilla wants Dex to kill her, help her die, wow, that's so sad. Prado wants Dexter to go against his code and kill the laywer, that's not a good idea. And Angel gets the girl, really happy for him. Deb and Anton are now a thing? Well I saw that coming. Wow I didn't expect that Dex would actually help Camilla die, so sad. Overall a really good episode, my rating is 8.8/10.
