My hobby is watching and collecting movies on VHS and DVD. On 17 June 2003, I found the IMDB site through an indication of a friend. My first review was "Anazapta" and since then, when I finish watching a movie, I write my personal opinion about it.
I am eclectic, but my genre number 1 is horror. I see between 800 and 900 movies per year, including TV series ("Sex and the City", "Angel", "Buffy", "Six Feet Under", "Lost" etc.).
My favorite movie is "Casablanca" and it is hard to point out my favorite director, actor and actress. I usually do not read any review before seeing a movie, in order to be not influenced by the critics.

An Invisible Sign (2010)
A Great Deception
After a stroke of her father (John Shea), the weird Mona Gray (Jessica Alba) gives up of all the things she likes but mathematic expecting that her father will be better. When she is 20 year-old, she is expelled from home by her mother (Sonia Braga) to live her own life. Soon her mother lies to her friend Ms. Gelband (Marylouise Burke), who is principal of a school, telling that Mona Gray is graduated and she hires her to teach mathematic to the third grade. Mona Gray feels affection for the orphan Lisa Venus (Sophie Nyweide) and her odd behavior attracts the attention of the teacher Ben Smith (Chris Messina). When there is an incident at school, the life of Mona Gray changes for good.
"An Invisible Sign" is among the worst movies I have ever seen, with an awful and senseless story. The plot is imbecile, beginning with Mona Gray's mother expelling her daughter out of her home without any reason. Then Ms. Gelband hires a clumsy and unprepared teacher without checking her credentials or background. Instead of mathematic, Mona Gray actually teaches and is attracted by numbers. She brings an ax to a classroom with kids in a total irresponsible attitude. The corny and lame conclusion, with Mona Gray rehired by the school and easily getting the custody of Lisa is terrible. The worst is that, this is the type of movie that we see expecting to like it, but the awful story is unbearable independently of the cast. Last but not the least, Sonia Braga lost her beauty and is unrecognizable. The years are cruel for everybody! My vote is two.
Title (Brazil): "Matemática do Amor" ("Mathematic of Love")
The Tough Life of a Whore
The prostitute Liz (Theresa Russell) works on the streets of Los Angeles. She recalls her life in flashback, when she marries an alcoholic man. She leaves him with their son. Then she works as waitress in a diner until the day a man introduces her to prostitution. Later she is raped by at least five men and the pimp Blake (Benjamin Mouton) "protects" her. Liz tries to escape from Blake and befriends the prostitute Katie (Elizabeth Morehead); however Blake chases her. On the streets, she befriends the homeless Rasta (Antonio Fargas) that helps her when she needs.
"Whore" is a docudrama by Ken Russell that shows the tough life of a whore. The hot Theresa Russell is a perfect choice for the role of Liz, talking to the camera to explain her life and feelings and analyzing the type of men that is client of a whore. I saw this movie for the first time in the 90's and in 2015 it has not aged. My vote is seven.
Title (Brazil): "A Prostituta" ("The Prostitute")
Die gläserne Zelle (1978)
Injustice, Prison, Jealousy and Murders
The architect Phillip Braun (Helmut Griem) is framed by his former employer Lasky (Walter Kohut) that embezzles the money that should be used to buy suitable material of a construction that collapses, killing a person. Phillip is wrongly imprisoned and for five years his lawyer David Reinalt (Dieter Laser) is not capable to prove that Lasky is the responsible for the accident.
When Phillip is released, he meets his beautiful wife Lisa Braun (Brigitte Fossey) and then his son Timmie (Claudius Kracht). Soon Lasky seeks Philip out to poison the relationship of his wife with David. Lisa is very close to David and Phillip becomes suspicious of their friendship. David finds a job for Phillip with a friend of him and he tells that Lasky is pressing him because he is still trying to prove Phillip's innocence. Soon Lisa confesses to her husband that she had a brief two-week love affair with David a long time ago when he was in prison, but now they are only friends. Phillips is disturbed with the revelation and his jealous increases while Lisa frequently visits David. One day, Phillip visits David and he tells that he has just saved his life since Lasky was trying to kill him. But Phillip kills David with a statue and cleans his fingerprints. Lasky and Phillip becomes the prime suspect of Police Commissioner Österreicher (Bernhard Wicki). However, Lasky had bugged David's apartment and he blackmails Phillip with an audio tape. What will Phillip do?
"Die gläserne Zelle" is an amoral story of injustice, prison, jealousy and murders. Phillip Braun is a tormented man that suffered for five years an injustice in a prison. He was separated from his wife and son, and leaves the confinement in jail with a different behavior, almost paranoid. He cannot find a job; he suspects that his wife is having a love affair with his defense lawyer; his little son calls the lawyer of "uncle". His disturbed mind is deeply affected when the responsible for his imprisonment poisons the relationship of his beloved wife and his lawyer. His next attitudes show how deeply affected he was along the period in jail. The conclusion is amoral but the real world is not fair. My vote is eight.

Breaking Bad: Cat's in the Bag... (2008)
What to Do?
Walter and Pinkman have a big problem with the corpses of Krazy-8 and his cousin Emilio. Walter plans to dispose them using acid to get rid of the bodies. But the problem increases when Krazy-8 awakes dazed and confused and flees from Pinkman's house. Meanwhile Skyler finds Walter's attitude strange and snoops his notebook, finding Pinkman's address. She presses Walter and he says that he buys marijuana with Pinkman. Skyler goes to his house when he is transporting Emilio's body from the RV to his house. She threatens Pinkman if he continues to sell marijuana to her husband. Walter returns to Pinkman's house with Krazy-8 but he does not have enough courage to execute him. Meanwhile Pinkman does not follow Walter's instructions to use acid in a plastic container and has a huge surprise at home.
"Cat's in the Bag..." is a funny episode of "Breaking Bad" with black humor to the best. Unfortunately the show has only given glances of Walter's previous life without developing well his behavior at home and at school, and the supporting characters. But anyway it is not difficult to see the changes in his behavior and understand the concerns of Skyler. Not there is a question: what to do with Krazy-8? My vote is seven.

For Your Love Only (1976)
Unknown Little Gem
The teenager Sina Wolf (Nastassja Kinski) is having a love affair with her teacher Fichte (Christian Quadflieg), who is fifteen years older than she. One day, her former boyfriend Michael witnesses Sina making love with Fichte in the woods by the lake and he blackmails her. Sina meets him in the woods and Michael tries to rape her; however she hits him on the head with a big stone and kills Michael. She calls the police and tells to the Inspector Finke (Klaus Schwarzkopf) and his assistant that a stranger wearing green jacket tried to rape her but Michael defended her and the stranger killed him. The smart detective does not buy the story but pretends that he believes in it.
However Michael told to his friend Ingrid "Inge" that Fichte and Sina are lovers and Inge tells the secret to her friend Katrin. Then she blackmails Fichte to get good grades; otherwise she is going to flunk the test and repeat the year. When Mrs. Fichte (Judy Winter), who is the mathematic teacher, finds Michael's notebooks on his chair, she reads his comments about her husband and Sina and she learns that she has been betrayed.
Inspector Finke takes Sina to Kiel to identify the corpse of the possible attacker and she confirms that he is the man that attacked Michael and her. However this is a trap of the inspector and his assistant to check if Sina is telling the truth. They stakeout her house and discover that Fichte is her lover. Now the teacher becomes the prime suspect of the police inspector.
"For Your Love Only" is an unknown little gem directed by Wolfgang Petersen for the German television. The story is realistic and very well acted, and second feature of Nastassja Kinski. The "lolita" Nastassja Kinski with fifteen (or seventeen) years old is very natural to undress and is perfect to explain why her teacher did not resist to her. My vote is eight.

Under the Dome: Curtains (2013)
The Season Is Over and Is Enough for Me
The mini-dome opens and the butterfly shows that the Monarch is Julia. Meanwhile the dome darkens and then a being using the form of Alice appears and explains that the dome exists to protect them. Big Jim demands the egg to save Barbie, but Julia prefers to keep the egg safe. Big Jim and Junior takes Barbie to the gallows.
"Curtains" is the thirteenth and last episode of "Under the Dome". Fortunately the Season is over and it is enough for me. There is no story for another season and the soap opera will continue. Maybe I will watch the episode 2.01 to see the fate of Barbie. My vote is five.
Title (Brazil): "Cortinas" ("Curtains")
Hard to Write a Review
Big Jim organizes a posse to hunt down Barbie in the woods. Dodee discloses to Big Jim the existence of the egg and the mini-dome and she overhears a military broadcast telling that Big Jim is not reliable since he killed the Reverend. Coggins. Big Jim executes Dodee; burns the station to the ground; and then he accuses Barbie. The lesbian Carolyn discovers the mini-dome in the barn but she promises to help the teenagers to protect it. Big Jim comes to the barn with henchmen, but the kids have moves it to Ben's house. Big Jim arrests Joe and Norrie, but later he is forced to release them. Linda follows the couple and discovers the location of the mini-dome. Meanwhile Barbie and Angie remove Julia from the hospital, but he is arrested by Linda. Then Big Jim blackmails Barbie to confess the arson of the station and the murders.
"Exigent Circumstances" is probably the best episode after the "Pilot". The plot is too short even for a mini-series but it seams that there will be another boring season. Linda is an incredibly stupid and irritating character. My vote is seven.
Title (Brazil): "Circunstâncias Especiais" ("Special Circumstances")
Dumb Character with Power
Big Jim convinces Linda that he is a good guy and his propane is saving Chester's mill. Further, she also convinces her that Barbie is a threat to the town. Junior leaves Angie, Joe and Norrie in the barn and the weather changes forming a violent storm. Maxine shots Julia in the chest and Barbie and Joe that is seeking out Junior save her. Barbie leaves Julia in the hospital and goes with Big Jim to Maxine's club. They succeed in dominate Maxine and her bodyguard. Out of the blue, Big Jim executes them both and tries to kill Barbie; however, he punches Big Jim and controls the situation. But Linda arrives and Big Jim tells that Barbie killed Maxine and the other man. Junior, Angie, Joe and Norrie try to communicate with the dome and they have a dreadful vision.
"Speak of the Devil" is one of the worst episodes of "Under the Dome". Linda is an awful character and her dumbness associated to her power of sheriff is laughable. The unstable Junior is the other awful character. My vote is five.
Title (Brazil): "Falando do Diabo" ("Speaking of the Devil")
The Blood of Fu Manchu (1968)
Silly and Lame
Fu Manchu (Christopher Lee) is hidden with his evil daughter Lin Tang (Tsai Chin) in a lost city he has found in the jungles of South America. He discovers a poison deadly for men through kiss and he abducts ten women to infect them with the poison to destroy his enemies. Then he sends one woman to London to kiss his greatest enemy, the Scotland Yard agent Nayland Smith (Richard Greene). Nayland is blinded by the poison and his friend Dr. Petrie (Howard Marion Crawford) travels with him to the jungles in South America to seek out Fu Manchu expecting to find an antidote. They team up with agent Carl Jansen (Götz George) and soon they learn the scheme of Fu Manchu for world domination.
"The Blood of Fu Manchu" is a silly and lame adventure of the infamous Fu Manchu by Jess Franco. The acting is dreadful and the plot is confused and boring with no emotion. The speeches of Howard Marion Crawford and Götz George are very difficult to be understood and most of the women are beautiful actresses. My vote is four.
Title (Brazil): Not Available on DVD and Blu-Ray
Breaking Bad: Pilot (2008)
In Albuquerque, New Mexico, the high-school chemistry teacher Walter White lives with his pregnant wife Skyler and his handicapped teenage son Walter Jr. Walter works also in a car wash to support his family. On the day of his fiftieth birthday, Walter faints and is diagnosed with lung cancer and the doctor gives the maximum of two years to live. Walter asks his brother-in-law Hank Schrader, who is a DEA agent and married with Skyler's sister Marie, to go with him in a drug raid. He discovers that his former student Jesse Pinkman is a drug dealer but he keeps the secret. Later Walter seeks out Pinkman and tells that he wants to cook and sell crystal meth with the intention of securing his family in the future. Walter changes his attitude in the beginning of a criminal life.
"Pilot" is the promising beginning of "Breaking Bad" in a show that combines drama, crime and comedy in right doses. The black humor is great, and the last scene is witty to show how Walter changed his behavior, with Walter and Skyler on the bed. My vote is eight.
Title (Brazil): "Pilot"
