World leaders are being paralyzed by poison darts, which trace back to a tribe, the Amaztecs, of South American Indians that has been extinct for hundreds of years, wiped out by Cortez. Bad guys hold these leaders for ransom, after which they would be taken out of coma.
WIN needs to find the antidote to the poison from this lost civilization. Joe is assigned to this adventure, perfect since the Amaztecs worshiped a young boy. The brain pattern of Dr. Astin, an anthropologist who fills us in on plenty of history of exploration, is transferred to Joe, who plans to pass him off as a divine child god. Fine model and miniature work captures the ancient lore on screen.
The story seems to mix its science-fiction with mysticism, as the voice of the Amaztecs' god is heard on the soundtrack, but Joe reveals it's a fake staged by the bad guy. Joe almost becomes a human sacrifice, but convinces the natives that he is divine.
