I watch a lot of vampire and horror movies and THIS IS A GOOD FILM! I know it could be smoother in some parts but it is not a studio picture and it is a boost to the horror film genre. A new style of vampires threaten the modern American way of life with the main vampire actually being a good guy is the current wave of vampires but this still has much more to it. The money cartel is naturally the bad guys in this film which is a good representation of real things going on in the world. When the story gets going it has a VERY GOOD way about it. I get the underpinnings to the story and think it is ingenious. What a marvelous idea to make the hero not only having to go against his own but also to have to battle the police, a vampire hunter and the Illuminati. Now that's a complicated conflict. To each his own but I find it sufficiently entertaining and so did my little brother and my father. A good time on Saturday night at home.
