Knowing Each Other
claudio_carvalho11 October 2006
When Mr. Harold Mossback dies in a bus tour in Seattle, the Fishers are hired by his son and daughter for the funeral service and for bringing the body to Los Angeles by van, since Mr. Mossback was afraid to fly by plane. Lane invites Claire to go with him, and they spend a couple of days with Lisa (Lily Taylor), the former roommate of Nate. Brenda is called by her dysfunctional mother to go to the Tranquility Spa, and once there, Brenda finds that she actually wants to snoopy the mistress of her husband. Ruth unsuccessfully tries to renewal her old friendships and get close to her sons and daughter. David brings Keith's niece for babysitting while Keith is assigned in a situation.

In this episode, we see Ruth deeply evolved trying to be successful in the renewal of friendships. Nate disclosing his AVM to his friend Lisa and being comforted by her, who is still in deep love for him, and Claire and Nate knowing each other better. Brenda once again shows her family problems and why she is so disturbed. My vote is eight.

Introduction of Lisa: an important character for the series.
tv_is_my_parent18 February 2011
After a man dies in Seattle, Nate and Claire goes to pick up the body and bring to L.A. Nate and Claire spends the night at his old roommate Lisa. We find out Lisa has feelings for Nate and they slept each other for several times. During that time Nate vomits because of his disease and has to tell Claire.

David babysits Taylor-Keith's niece- while Keith is busy at work. He finds out Taylor doesn't like Eddie and it makes David happy.

Ruth, still a 'Plan'er, contacts with people she doesn't see or isn't close anymore.

Margaret calls Brenda for an emergency about Bernard, but Margaret makes a scene with the woman Bernard is seeing. She has an argument with Brenda because of this and it ends up bad.

An unhappy Brenda thinks of having sex with the man from the restaurant.

I don't like Lisa in the third season but in this episode she's a nice person. Brenda's prostitute client will affect her this season as they become friends.

Driving Mr. Mossback isn't one of the best episodes of the show but it's revealing and a very good episode. 9.0/10

Refreshing ending credits

Refreshing to listen the credits without the usual song. I think some previous episode endings made me think or reflect in some deep way and then the ending credit song would just kill the mood lol.

Also nice to see how characters are developing.
