Ellen (a fine performance by Karen Sillas) goes to a rundown old house located in the middle of nowhere to see her estranged sister May (well played by Juliette Kurth). Ellen discovers that not only is May sickly and pregnant, but also her creepy boyfriend Peter (a spot-on smarmy portrayal by Robert Kerbeck) proves to be even worse than he initially seems to be.
Director Kenny Myers ably crafts a clammy and uncomfortable mood, makes the most out of the cramped and confined claustrophobic setting, generates a good deal of sexual tension, and keeps the absorbing story moving along at a steady pace. Moreover, the sibling rivalry between the two ladies adds an extra emotional edge while the surprise grim ending packs a jolting punch. A real skin-crawler of an episode.
