A series sadly on the wane at this point and Terry starting to age and lose his laddish look.
This episode is classic minder though with a sharp and very far fetched storyline involving a Serious Arthur /Terry spat ,bodged theft and a good to and fro with the local police.
No fights of any note other than a bit of scuffling between an estranged Arthur and Terry and some very good one liners pop up throughout the episode and some good Winchester scenes.
More being played for comedy by now with less grit and violence.
One to catch again for sure , a very good episode for a by now faltering but still well watched series.

Series 5 continues its winning streak

It took until Series 3 before the Minder producers found the right balance of scheming and comedy. There was still the odd dud along the way but by and large it lived up to its billing as a hit series.
So far in Series 5, there have been no weak episodes and this one keeps up the streak.
Show starts with McCann getting rescued from a meat locker he was minding, frozen half to death because Arthur forgot to come around and let him out. So Terry goes to work for a buddy in the antique trade.
What follows is simply amazing. The same set of chairs changes hands about a half-dozen times. Rycott and Melish are hot on the trail. And we get a highly entertaining guest spot from Billy Murray, as well as one-time potential Bond, David Warbeck.
Although the story begins with Terry ''breaking up" with Daley, the chemistry between the two is so rock solid that it's hard to imagine them every being apart for long.
I don't think there's a weak frame in this entire episode.

Classic comedy, well written and first class acting, I've just watched this episode on late night television. It's nice to watch past series of classic Minder and be reminded how good it is. Always makes me laugh and I watch all the repeats, again and again, simply brilliant, R. I. P. George Cole...
