Great Cast in this episode!

Warning: Spoilers
Peter Whitney, John Milford, and Dabbs Greer all did excellent work on The Rifleman, so I was thrilled when I saw them all together in this episode! They did an excellent job. Of course Peter plays a wonderful tough guy with his size.

Boy but Truck sure did give me the creeps! He must have been loco or something. I'm guessing that if he were alive today, they would declare him incompetent of standing trial and would put him in a mental institution, diagnosing him with some sort of mental illness or something.

The ending did surprise me a bit. I'm guessing Sam figured these men would make sure justice came to the girl when he saw the look of surprise and hate in their eyes. He probably figured the man wasn't worth dying for.

The Hostiles

Truck Garnett (Clu Gulager) is a convict on the run. He sought refuge in a farmhouse and even though handcuffed, he killed a frightened young woman.

Now an angry Deputy Marshal Sam Buckhart is out to hunt for Truck. He goes alone even though he is offered help.

Only Truck comes from a remote mountain community where people stick together right or wrong.

Sam Buckhart finds opposition from everyone, even by people who dislike Truck. There is no way Sam will take Truck out of the mountain community.

That's one hell of a beating Sam gets from the mountain men. Until he talks about the girl that Truck killed. Only she did not look like a girl at the beginning of the episode.

Life would had been easier if Sam tool a well armed posse with him.
