The Star in the Channel on the Cable TV
claudio_carvalho9 August 2021
The traveling salesman Bart Brookman (Curtis Armstrong) is a complete loser in his profession and his marriage. When he stops for the night at a motel, he watches a porn channel and out of the blue, the actress Carla (Kim Feeney) talks to him. She gives a tip about a sale with another motel's guest and Bart raises a large amount. He gets addicted to Carla that becomes bolder in her demands.

"Room 17" is another intriguing episode of "The Hunger" with an interesting plot. Bart Brookman is a loser that becomes obsessed for a porn star that he meets in the cable television. Unfortunately, the conclusion is very poor and wastes a good storyline. My vote is seven.

I bet you didn't know that Booger from Revenge of The Nerds did an episode of "The Hunger". Well yup he did, in this episode Curtis Armstrong plays Bart Brookman, a poor married slob who enters a seedy motel room and turns on the TV to settle in to a nice night of porn. Only to be amazed that Carla, the girl on the TV, not only can talk directly to him, but can pop in and out of the television set.

This episode was lighter in tone than the other episodes. It was a fun enough little piece, but felt a tad too insubstantial plus the ending left a sour taste in my mouth for some reason, mainly because it just felt so rushed. Otherwise it was an all right episode, kind of like a live- action version of that old Looney Tunes short with the dancing frog. (with nudity of course)

Eye Candy: Kim Feeny & 3 extras get topless

My Grade: C
