Fortune brings in some boats that are not steered.

Bimbo the elephant knocks over a fence; and Corky offers to have it fixed, but the lady says her son will repair it. Alice believes her mother-in-law is just making up a story to get attention, but her son says he just passed the boy and the elephant. Mrs. Lilly is tired of arguing with her daughter-in-law and decides she is going to leave home and work for the circus. When she arrives, Big Tim says he doesn't have any openings, but Mrs. Lily says the tea leaves said there would be an opening. Them we learn the cook just quit. Mrs. Lily has a job, and she turns out to be a great cook.

Mrs.Lily starts to read everyone's tea leaves. Corky will come into money and he finds a purse, but it belongs to one of the circus people, no money for Corky. Joey tells Corky you shouldn't believe in tea readings but indirectly some of her predictions sort of come true. Circus people are as superstitions as the rest of us, and soon everyone is listening to Mrs. Lily much to the annoyance of Big Tim. But what can he do; he can't fire a sweet old lady.

After a tea leaf reading, Bumps gets hurt, so Pete offers to do Bump's job with the dogs. But the dogs don't cooperate, and soon it's a mess with everyone laughing at Pete thinking he's a clown. Mrs. Lily's son Edwin shows up to take his mother home. Big Tim is glad to see Edwin, but the tea leaves say no. Joey dresses up as a Swami and tells Mrs. Lily her past, courtesy of Edwin, and tries to tell her she needs to return home where her son and daughter-in-law love her; she has a wonderful life ahead of her. But Mrs. Lily has decided to give up tea reading; the leaves said Bumps wouldn't marry, and he is going to marry. Mrs. Lily is going to marry Bumps; after all, the swami said she would have a wonderful life ahead.
