Life Imitating Art
claudio_carvalho22 December 2022
Life Imitating Art When a man is found stabbed on the neck in an Art House Movie Theater, Grissom, Catherine and Capt. Brass assume the investigation. They learn that the victim is the dentist Gus Sugarman and the movie usher says that there was a red-haired woman with him. Further, she used the phone booth in the reception. They identify Gus's cellphone record and sees that Audrey Hilden has called him three consecutive times when he was dead. Catherine and Grissom visit Audrey and he notes a schedule of the Art House Movie Theater posted in a board. Soon Brass finds that Audrey had filed a lawsuit against Gus claiming assault during her visit and she becomes the prime-suspect. Meanwhile, Nick, Sara, Warrick and Detective O'Riley investigate the mysterious murder of the fifteen-year-old Timmy McCallum in an empty warehouse with hundreds of bullet holes on the wall and ceiling. Sara finds a long piece of bamboo on the roof and decides to investigate also the possible evidence.

"A Night at the Movies" is a great episode of "CSI" and homage to Alfred Hitchcock's "Strangers on a Train" in the first segment. Two strangers' fans of Art Movies decide to imitate the screenplay of the classic movie to get rid of men that harassed and assaulted them. The second segment shows a mysterious murder of a teenager and how his stupid death was. My vote is eight.

A Couple of My Favorite Crimes Solved
Hitchcoc18 January 2021
The two mysteries to be solved are unrelated. In one, a man is stabbed while he watches a film in a little art theater. When interviews are over, a tall redheaded woman becomes a suspect. The Hitchcock film "Strangers on a Train" becomes pivotal to the solution. In the second, a fifteen year old boy is found dead in an empty warehouse. He has been shot. Metal walls of the warehouse contain over a hundred bullet holes.

Tribute and tribulation
rgaljr29 April 2023
Another great episode in the series with an excellent homage to a movie director uniquely designated no less as the "master of suspense". The story also pays tribute to some of those early Hollywood noir films.

The show again portrays great acting and dialogue, a sprinkling of comic relief here and there amidst the tragedies brought about by crime, which almost always never pays. Displayed as well are some family-related issues that everyone would like to take note as it happens in real life.

The end scene is quite interesting, undoubtedly beckoning the audience to further watch and unravel in upcoming episodes.
