The two mysteries to be solved are unrelated. In one, a man is stabbed while he watches a film in a little art theater. When interviews are over, a tall redheaded woman becomes a suspect. The Hitchcock film "Strangers on a Train" becomes pivotal to the solution. In the second, a fifteen year old boy is found dead in an empty warehouse. He has been shot. Metal walls of the warehouse contain over a hundred bullet holes.
