About the film Ram Gopal Varma wrote, “My vision for Sarkar 3
When I made my first Sarkar, the principal motivation for me was to create a character more powerful than Mr.Bachchan ever performed. Sarkar is not just about the physical aspects of power, but It is also about an ultra quiet intensity in how he demonstrates it.
I frankly can imagine Godfather without a Brando but I believe that Amitabh Bachchan is the only actor who possesses the kind of magnetism and charisma to make a character like Sarkar come alive. Having grown up with dance reality series, Boogie Woogie being the first, harboring a penchant for dance and ensuring I’ve caught every dance flick that’s ever been made, the not-so successful history with Bollywood dance flicks (remember Chance Pe Dance) had made me very wary of reviewing Abcd – AnyBody Can Dance. Being a loyal audience of ‘So you think you can dance’ and the ‘Step Up’ series, although not the biggest fan of the latter, I usually felt that we lacked the finesse that was required of western routines. With Abcd I had two major apprehensions – How much originality would Remo be able to introduce in dance routines that haven’t been done before and secondly having keenly followed the telecasted dance performances of the films protagonists, Dharmesh, Salman, Lauren, would their inexperience in acting cause hiccups in matching the standards set by its Hollywood contemporary?

Some of you may know from reading my articles that before I became a writer, I was a professional ballet dancer. In fact, my love of dance is one of the reasons I adore Bollywood films so much. When I heard that a dancer from one of my all time favorite shows, So You Think You Can Dance (Sytycd), was going to be in a Bollywood film, I was extremely excited. That dancer is the fabulous Lauren Gottlieb. She was a contestant on Season 3 of the Us reality dance show and all of you true Sytycd devotees will also have noticed her working on the show as a choreographer’s assistant. We have also been treated to watching her as one of the All-Star Dancers on the last three seasons. This amazing dancer has also worked and performed with musical stars like Rihanna, Mariah Cary, Britney Spears, Shakira, and Carrey Underwood,...

Movie Review: "Denikaina Ready"; Star Cast: Vishnu Manchu, Hansika Motwani, Prabhu Suman, Sita Brahmanandam, M.S Narayana and Avs; Director: G. Nageswara Reddy; Rating: *** - cliched yet entertaining.
If you have an appetite for cliched, brainless comedy then Vishnu Manchu's "Denikaina Ready" is not to be missed at any cost. From the director of highly successful comedy entertainers such as "Seema Shastry" and "Seema Tapakai", comes yet another non-stop comical treat with a story that's been milked dry over the years.
Vishnu plays Sulaiman aka Krishna Shastry,.

'Sarkar' (2005): Amitabh Bachchan rivals Marlon Brando as the iconic criminal patriarch in this fascinating retelling of the American classic 'The Godfather.' Instead of stroking a cat in his lap as Brando famously did, Bachchan 'is' the cat—cool and regal and ferocious—sipping from a bowl in one key scene like a sleek panther waiting to pounce. In the Indian version of the story, there are two brothers instead of three. The oldest, Vishnu (Kay Kay Menon), is a fusion of Sonny and Fredo, and the character is far more complex than either of the elder Corleone sons. The youngest, Shankar (played by Amitabh's son Abhishek Bachchan), is Michael—a perfect role for the junior Bachchan, who excels at strong, silent, and sinister. The director, Ram Gopal Varma, tips his hat to Francis Ford Coppola by shooting the film like a chiaroscuro painting in an Italian Catholic church.
