Mumbai, Feb 26 (Ians) Bollywood star Akshay Kumar walked down memory lane and recalled his first journey on a flight from Mumbai to Delhi during his childhood days.
The 55-year-old action star of Bollywood, often referred to as Khiladi Kumar, recalling his first flight, said: “I was probably 10 or 11 years old when I took my first flight. For some important work, I was asked to travel to Bombay from Delhi and so, my dad sent me with an air hostess saying that she will take me on the flight.”
Akshay remembered how he thought that the bus taking passengers toward the flight would fly.
“I was told I am going on an airbus and hence when I got onto the bus that takes passengers towards the flight at the airport, I remember holding onto my small bag tightly as I thought the bus would actually fly, but of course, I didn...

Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha
Starring Shiv Darshan,Natasha Fernandez, Upen Patel
Directed by Suneel Darshan
This is a film for the diehard romantics who still believe love lasts for many lifetimes. Quite the other end of the spectrum from Imtiaz Ali’s Jab Harry Met Sejal where Ms Sharma is heard discussing the legal ramifications of random “intercourse” with Shah Rukh Khan.
Suneel Darshan’s chaste love birds played by his son Shiv and newcomer Natasha Fernandez, are strictly old-school. Shiv shows some growth as an actor. He plays Deodhar, a mysterious figure who moves around as a spirit in the picturesque locales of England, who wooes the pretty girl Natasha with Nadeem’s song which spill put in atorrent of effusion.
It’s good to see a Bollywood film paying heed to the tradition of protagonists singing songs on screen. There is plenty of lip-sync singing in this film.

Finally, this has happened!
Airlift, the most successful film of 2016 so far and a certified superhit, has now gone Tax Free in Bihar. Though the decision has come in the fourth week run of the film, it is still being hailed for the kind of recognition that has come for the Akshay Kumar starrer.
"It is not about the monetary gains that the film would gain from this point on but the fact that good cinema has been appreciated," says our source, "This will go down in records that a film with such a theme and treatment was acknowledged for its class and entertainment quotient, and hence was declared Tax Free. For director Raja Menon and the production team of Bhushan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra and Nikkhil Advani, this is a moment of high indeed."
With current collections in the upwards of 125 crore and the film aiming to close around the 130 crore mark,...

What Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck couldn't do, Akshay Kumar has dared to attempt. Take on Shah Rukh Khan in his Diwali domain.
While the Brad and Ben starrers Fury and Gone Girl were pushed ahead so as to not clash with Shah Rukh's Happy New Year, Akshay Kumar's Jaanwar creeps stealthily into the theatres alongside the Srk monster-release.
Suddenly out of the blue Shah Rukh Khan has competition. If we can call it that. Shah Rukh's eagerly awaited Happy New Year which no other film dared to take on, has now an Akshay Kumar starrer to reckon with.
The film is Suneel Darshan's 1999 hit Jaanwar which is being flash-released this Diwali in a new digitally enhanced avatar.
Explaining his decision to suddenly release the film on the same day as Happy New Year producer-director Suneel Darshan says, "The re-release was over-due. And what better time than Diwali?...

Director Sunil Darshan who has been credited with the resurrection of Khiladi Akshay Kumar after a spate of flops has remained out of the limelight for over three years since his last film Shaka Laka Boom Boom crashed at the ticket window. It's ironical that the director who gave Akshay a new lease of life through Jaanwar (followed by Ek Rishta -The Bond Of Love) and in turn provided him the impetus to reach the top five, has faded away from the memory of the audience.
