Storyline
Plot Summary |
Anna Zador (Jeanette MacDonald) has been in love with Count Willie Palaffi (Nelson Eddy) for six years, but he has never shown an interest in her, for she is just a lowly secretary at his bank. Willie believes the only woman good enough for him would be an angel descended from heaven. So, when an actual angel shows up, Willie thinks he has found his match. However, in a case of "be careful what you wish for," he learns that having an angel for a wife is more troublesome than he'd imagined. Written by maschzentertainment |

Trivia | Originally planned as a vehicle for Jeanette MacDonald 10 years earlier, but the somewhat racy content put the musical on hold at MGM, until it was a hit on Broadway in 1938. See more » |
Goofs | When the count (Nelson Eddy) removes the feathers from his wife's new hat, the feathers are a different type and color, and attached differently, from the feathers on the hat shown to his wife (Jeanette MacDonald) seconds before. See more » |
