This is one very seductive crime drama. It follows a police detective who gets involved with a woman who may be involved in a murder. The scenes are both raunchy and unnerving as the narrative plays out. The chemistry between Stone and Douglas is very palpable and you oscillate between feeling you're watching a very disturbing romance and crime thriller. The writing and direction are pretty on point. There's some awkward moments in the film that are reminiscent of the 90s and jolt the narrative slightly but overall, this is a very well made film. There's of course that iconic scene that you'll come to know too.
