I'd normally have given Shantaram 9 stars for the quality, story, performance... all of it. It's a brilliant show with everything we can expect out of an Apple TV+ series.
You get completely invested in the characters and their stories. Which is why it freaking sucks that they decided to end the season on such a horrible cliffhanger.
Like, was that cliffhanger even necessary? Things could just as easily have been tied up together neatly.
And now the series is cancelled, which would've sucked in and of itself, but a cancellation after that kind of a cliffhanger is just criminal.
That's the only reason for the lower rating. To spare others from investing their time and emotions into a show that doesn't give them closure. *sigh*
This culture of ending seasons on cliffhangers should be banned! If there's no certainty for a top notch show like this to keep going, what hope do other shows have?
