And.... We're Back
2 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
After one week of Titan members other than Dick and his Amazing Friends, we're back to the Gotham Adventures. And... the people of Gotham must be the stupidest people on Earth. Here's Crane who terrorizes the city on a regular basis, announcing that the Titans are the bad guys for unleashing the type of hallucinogenic that Crane uses. And the vast majority of the citizens fall for it. Wouldn't they at least think Crane was in cahoots with the Titans, and he's betraying his partners? Why do they so readily accept what Crane claims?

Not to mention those crime lords who were there when Red Hood attacked them. Didn't any of them take video? Why is Crane the only one who can manipulate the media? One video of Red Hood working with the mob bosses, and Red Hood is no longer Gotham's new hero.

The opening sequence is a bit odd. So Dick broke into his old hospital room to... what? Confirm that what he saw was a hallucination? Couldn't he figure that out without going there, or did he realty think eye chart letters turn into bats?

Maybe it's part of the production staff's obsession with bats. And Bats. Are they ever going to explains _why_ Dick is hallucinating a bat? Nah, let's just have a rehash of Dick's hallucination about a bat. And Gar in the Batcave smiling as bats swarm him? What's that about?\

Good thing is we get more of the Titans other than Dick. Donna makes her way back to Gotham, although she has to deal with Lydia, who seems a bit like... Bruce. And what happened after last week's finale? Donna rescues Bruce, and then... takes off from him? Maybe if she had stuck around Themyscira, she could have gotten a ride with Rachel, who doesn't seem to have any trouble dealing with old Amazon women or getting into Gotham. Last week wasn't Lydia interested with Rachel? How does Lydia know Rachel didn't bring Donna back, or Rachel's powers should be explored? I guess rebuilding the statue was enough for Rachel to get the a-ok.

Superboy and Beast Boy still have something to do. Although the lack of defined power level on Superboy is still irritating. He has superspeed, heat vision, and invulnerability. But still seems to have problems with crazed civilians. Would Superman have these kinds of issues?

The Starfire/Blackfire thing is good, although I'm sympathizing more with Blackfire. She got your powers, Kory, and didn't fry you on the spot or even indulge in some villainous gloating. I'd consider that a sign of Blackfire's good intentions. Damaris Lewis also wins because she's about the best thespian on the show and the writers give her some personality. For all the Titans' talk about family, I'm... still not seeing it. And without that, they've got no reason to hang around.

But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong. What do you think?
