- TriviaWhen Fletcher reports to Commissioner Barbara Gordon, he informs her that Detectives Harris and Dietrich are being taken to the hospital. This is likely a tribute to the series "Barney Miller" which included characters named Det. Ron Harris (Ron Glass) and Det. Sgt. Arthur Dietrich (Steve Landesberg).
- Goofs3 mins in one of the police officers says Gotham has a population of 6 million people. When Donna Troy gets into Gotham and passes the border a sign can be seen saying that Gotham has a population of 9,942,436.

Troubled Water puts us back in Gotham City for an episode focused on action and the characters whilst moving the plot forward, a great episode
"Troubled Water" follows the aftermath of the previous two episodes with Tim Drake and Donna Troy getting out of the afterlife and are resurrected, but also the big storyline with Jonathan Crane successfully placing his fear toxin in the water supply. Episode 3.10 has Jonathan Crane manipulating Gotham's citizens against the Titans through a video that frames them for the toxin outbreak and Red Hood as the city's new hero. To help the police maintain the trust of the public, Dick has the team turn themselves in. Melissa Brides penned the script for this episode and I found it to be quite great, no real flaws. It wasn't the strongest writing of the third season but it was great. Regarding the pacing, it was great and was nicely edited with good transitions.
Larnell Stovall returns to direct another episode, fantastic work done by him. There were also some truly amazing cinematography. The whole episode looked fantastic as the show usually does. Production and art design were great, the musical score was epic and simply brilliant. There's so much to love about this episode, the story its telling and the characters who are in the episode. Having Donna and Rachel back in the show is amazing and seeing them moving to Gotham makes for an upcoming reunion, the writing for Donna Troy was brilliant and I just got a feeling that they'll finally do the character justice. The acting was like always, pretty great. But there weren't anyone that really stood out. Instead, I'll write about the fighting choreography Conor Leslie had to do as Donna Troy. Each Titan member had their time to shine, using different abilities and well... It looked super cool and was shot brilliantly.
"Troubled Water" was overall a great episode, screen time was given to protagonists and antagonists, both storylines was interesting to follow. The episode is more focused with action sequences showing the superhero powers than the the previous more slower paced episode, it's appreciated as I really like these heroes. But the action is there for a reason, to move the plot forward and it does that fantastically. It's only three episodes left and thus I wonder, how will they tie this up. It feels like they're building up to an event inspired by No Man's Land, with what's going on in this episode as it continues episode eight with the fear toxin was spread in the water supply.
