Several focuses. The first involves a man who rents a room once a month to have sex with young men. His body is found stabbed 47 times and he is dismembered. There is a side plot where the guy's Rolex and ring have been stolen while the fire department investigated a small fire. We have the story of an arrogant young English teacher who is trying to "improve" a boy of Puerto Rican extraction (he's fifteen). Of course, having sex with him is just to elevate his status. Finally, we see Andy struggling with letting go of Theo. He is terrified something may happen to him, even in the least dangerous of settings.
