Watch both and decide for yourself....but The Women from 1939 is much much better....it is interesting to compare scenes with the original so the remake has value for comparison sake...Norma Shearer vs June Allyson.......Joan Crawford vs Joan Collins (Battle of the Joans)....Rosalind Russell vs Dolores Gray......both versions have plenty of star power....but if you only have time for one....watch the original.
