Despite the mostly negative reviews, I think this movie is actually the second best of the Scary Movie films. It's one hilarious scene after the other, from Jody (Ashley Tisdale) and Dan Sanders (Simon Rex) dealing with their weird nieces in their paranormal-activity infested home to Jody's ballet dancing misadventures and Dan's ape experiment chaos. The movies Paranormal Activity and Inception are two of the main spoofs in the film and they are hilariously done, and the prologue with Charlie Sheen and Lindsey Lohan was just good, funny starter to the film, especially when Lohan spoofs her own real-life legal woes.
Seeing every actor's facial expressions, especially Simon Rex's when he experiences ghost stuff, are just fun to watch. The acting, I thought, was pretty good and the plot was well-paced. There are plenty of slapstick humor and so-stupid-it's-funny comedy, but I think the sexual innuendos are a little overboard - especially the spoof to The Black Swan. But overall, it's not a bad film - good for some laughs and popcorn time.
