This Wagon Train story has Flint McCullough visiting an army post where he spent part of his time during his years as an orphan youth growing up. When he arrives he notes a change in the behavior of the post commander John Howard. His wife was recently killed by Indians and he holds James Best who is of mixed race parentage and current Comanche chief responsible. He's even holding Jacqueline DeWit who is Best's mother as a prisoner.
