From cradle to grave... for some demons
28 June 2008
Warning: Spoilers
Right from the first explosive scene in the lobby, you feel that this one is going to be good. And it is. This episode seamlessly blends the Halliwells' everyday lives with their magical lives, which is always a good recipe for humour and efficient action. With little time wasted on some soon-to-be-dead demon, the plot concentrates on the sisters and their efforts to compensate the loss of their senses. Which they do surprisingly well, at the cost of some very funny one-sided conversations. My only disappointment is the Crone. The last time we met her, she seemed meant to be significant in this year's arc, but she gets written off the story very quickly, without contributing anything except -surprise!- a portentous but unspecified vision. Extra points in this episode for Paige's singing, which is terrific, and to little Wyatt, who's already taking his place in the family, and who is a really adorable in this episode.
