Trivia

In Charmed: Astral Monkey (2000) the sisters take care of three monkeys that have their powers because they were injected with their blood. Near the end of the episode Phoebe asks the monkeys what they think about evil and they do the "See no Evil, Hear no Evil, Speak no Evil". The monkey with the green band around its arm, which has been injected with Prue's blood closes its eyes, Piper's monkey with the yellow band closes its ears and Phoebe's monkey with the pink band closes its mouth. Strangely in this episode those are exactly the senses they lost. The eldest (Piper) lost her sight, the middle (Phoebe) her hearing and the youngest (Paige) her voice. See more »

Quotes

Piper: Where are you? Ow! Who put that there?
Phoebe: Oh, my god! Piper, you're blind!
Piper: Yeah, Phoebe, I just said that. Now can we talk about how a monkey could do that?
Phoebe: What did she say?
Piper: What did who say? The monkey? The monkey didn't say anything. He covered my eyes and stole my eyesight.
Paige: [Paige writes] How?
Phoebe: I think the monkey stole your eyesight when he covered your eyes.
Piper: Phoebe, are you listening to me? That's just what I said. Are you acting like you can't even hear me?
Phoebe: Oh, Piper, it's no use. I can't even...

To me, this episode is loaded with hilarious lines from the sisters. Even though their senses had been stolen from them from the Crone via a mystical monkey, their sisterly bonds managed to overcome the powers of evil. This episode is typical of the type of script writing of what made me a permanent fan of the entire series.I think that the Crone should'nt have been killed so soon but to allowed to return in future episodes. It was nice to see her again as she (Grace Zabriskie) plays such an excellent "evil hag". Only 2 episodes did not do her justice. If Debbi Morgan (The Seer) got so many; which I really didn't think she was so great, then why could'nt the Crone get the recognition she deserved? I especially loved hearing Paige's rendition of "Fever" in the club at the end of the show. It was HOT! What a great voice!!! This was definitely one of my favorite episodes. 9 out of 10.
