At the beginning of the fourth season of "Stargate: Atlantis", there is the threat of death in the air for everybody on-board Atlantis as it floats through the emptiness of deep space. On a personal level, Torri Higginson's Elizabeth Weir faces a potentially unpleasant end due to the injuries sustained during the replicator energy blast. Is this curtains for Weir? As always, the cast of "Atlantis" are excellent and "Stargate SG-1" fans will be pleased to see Amanda Tapping appearing in the opening credits. How Carter will become a permanent member of the cast remains to be seen but it's genuinely pleasing to see Tapping continue playing her character on a regular basis.
"Adrift" finishes on an exciting cliffhanger and scores, for me, 8 out of 10. There's definitely still life in this series and it's good to see it back on the box.
