Well considering the title Adrift it could point to where season 3 episode 20 left off. Atlantis has been launched into space to evade the replicator laser. They have just dropped out of hyperspace prematurely and they realise this has to do with there ZPM being depleted. The whole of Atlantis is stuck without any planets or star-gates and no reference points. They have 24 hours of power left before they loose there atmosphere.What plan will they think of next and why didn't they just use the beam as a power source for their shield. They could have done it the replicators could just a few gate capacitors and a medium and they could use the beam as a power source!.
