And the children of the earth poison us, yet again

Warning: Spoilers
It is disturbing to me that childish and dysfunctional relationships and understandings of life are passed off as "normal" and even worse "moving". Honestly I don't see why they just didn't cast a 4 year old child instead of the man, after all he acted like one the entire time. It would seem some believe infantile co-dependency on our loved ones is synonymous with love. Never once did he consider the needs and desires of his wife in all his "love" for her. I gave this movie a "2" rating only because of its beautiful cinematography. The main character's wife was also pretty one dimensional. This movie reminded me of "The 6th Day"; the scientist who only worked so that he can find a cure for his dying wife. Ugh! Can any writers in Hollywood come up with something original?
