Review of Gulp

Gulp (2001)

After watching Jason Reitman's previous short "In God we Trust" and loving it, I had high hopes when I sat down to watch "Gulp". I wasn't disappointed by this fun tale of a guy who has only a handful of minutes to save his salt water goldfish from dying. It moves at a good clip, is humorous enough, and suitably cute. I have high hopes with Jason's first feature length movie in post (an adaption of another kid of a famous father, William F. Buckley's son, Christopher's satirical book "Thank You For Smoking") and provided that Jason keeps the tone of it right then It'll be yet another notch in his belt. The kid has talent to spare.

My short Grade: B
