This movie wavers weirdly between comedy, farce and attempts at drama. Part of the problem is with the casting of Tim Daly in the lead
(the lead needed to be much quirkier to pull off the premise), but there are much bigger problems with the script and the direction.
This movie could have been a great black comedy; the scenes with the ghostly Anabeth, the baby shower, and parts of the ending are lots
of fun. But the movie changes in tone all the time.
