This is a romantic comedy suitable for viewing by males. That said, you know what you're in for. In that regard, there's a pretty heavy-handed metaphor at the end of the script, and the film contains a pretty, original song. I also enjoyed the gimmick of the hapless psychic, made obvious when Laura finally does spill the coffee on her shoe.
I love this film, and I would like to add that the DVD version has some deleted scenes that are well worth watching. I usually find this feature to be a waste of time, but there have been a couple of films ("Josie and the Pussycats" and most notably, "Gladiator" come to mind) where you get to "finish the film" yourself by watching the deleted scenes.
