The first teaser for Pablo Larrain's festival favourite Jackie has arrived, and it accurately depicts the haunting nature of this unconventional biopic. We caught the film at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it won the Platform prize, an honour that highlights an innovative and daring feature from an up-and-coming director.
Natalie Portman stars as Jackie Kennedy in the week after the assassination of her husband, the President of the United States, John F. Kennedy. With a majestically unnerving score from Mica Levi, a shoe-in Best Actress nomination for Portman, and a stunning and unique vision from Larrain, Jackie is not your typical biopic and is one of the must-see films of the year.
