First announced back in May, Feardemic’s voting for the Horror Game Awards is now open for you, the fans, to decide the best of 2022’s crop of horror video games. It’s up to you to decide who receives Golden Bats in each of the 13 categories between all of your favorite games.
The Horror Game Awards are part of Feardemic’s horror extravaganza, Fear Fest, which is being run in partnership with IGN, and will take place on September 6th & 7th. The event will showcase the most anticipated horror games coming your way for the latter half of 2023 and into 2024, plus “a ton of indie horror” from indie publishers.
The next night will see Feardemic and IGN present the Horror Game Awards, celebrating the best horror games of 2022, and honoring the developers who made them. That does not, however, mean that you have months to cast your votes, because...

We’re only a week away from The Callisto Protocol being out in the wild. And to seemingly culminate the marketing campaign, Striking Distance Studios has released a live-action TV spot for The Callisto Protocol. Not only that, but there are two versions of the TV spot.
The 45 second spot sees Josh Duhamel doing his non-cg version of protagonist Jacob Lee, crash-landing on Callisto, flashing between several scenes of Jacob making his way through the death and destruction in Black Iron Prison. The spot ends on a cliché note, hoping to entice those still holding out on picking the game up.
However, in fitting fashion, there’s another version of the TV spot for The Callisto Protocol that is of the Red Band variety (courtesy of IGN), showing more of the red stuff, gory goodness, and more unpleasant imagery. This one adds a minute to the original ad, so bully for us!

So, remember how Striking Distance Studios’ The Callisto Protocol wouldn’t be coming to Japan after the team refused to tone down the violence? Well, for the Season Pass of The Callisto Protocol, the devs are doubling down on that.
The Steam page for The Callisto Protocol was recently updated to include details on just what’s included with the game’s Season Pass. Along with including the Outer Way Skin Collection and Story Dlc, the Season Pass also includes two bundles: the Riot Bundle and Contagion Bundle.
The Riot Bundle introduces a sort of Horde Mode to The Callisto Protocol, where you’ll battle through waves of Biophage, upgrading and unlocking new weapons as you go. Meanwhile, the Contagion Bundle introduces a sort of Hardcore mode to the game, where you have reduced ammo and health drops, along with a customized difficulty and permadeath. Both Bundles contain respective skin packs.
