X-Men ’97 has fascinated fans and critics. The series has certainly given fans a nostalgic experience, as the Disney+ show continued where it was left in X-Men: The Animated Series (1992–1997) with the original cast. Also, as the show premiered, several surprises have baffled fans with excitement.
Spider-Man in Spider-Man animated series
One of the recent surprises was when Spider-Man popped up in episode 8 of the series. Now, fans want Spider-Man animated series voice actor Christopher Daniel Barnes to return to the MCU with his 90s Spider-Man. The actor recently revealed that he is open to coming back.

The trick with horror is how you use the tropes. Slashers, ghost stories, monster movies, there’s a formula to them all but what separates the good from the bad is how they use that formula in an innovative way. James Button and Kristaps Kazaks’ short turned web series turned short again The Corpse Series is a great example of this. At its heart, it’s a comedy about two bumbling idiots trying to dig themselves out of a bad situation. It’s just that the bad situation is an ever increasing stack of dead bodies. The innovation and excitement of Button and Kazaks’ short is in its escalation and how the filmmakers string together the ever-increasing chaos of their characters’ situation. It really is such a fun time and must-watch for fans of Edgar Wright’s Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy or Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead series. Dn is...

Crypt TV, ShinAwiL, and Eli Roth, in partnership with Meta, have announced their first scripted VR episodic series The Faceless Lady, presented by Eli Roth, written by Jerome Velinsky and directed by John William Ross (The Birch). This six-episode series is the first known scripted original VR live action, stereoscopic (3D) series ever produced of its size.
The Ireland-set storyline is inspired by the real life seventeenth century Irish folklore of Lady Margaret Hodnett who is said to haunt Belvelly Castle in Cork stalking visitors through mirrors and reflective surfaces. Adapted for modern day with a supernatural twist, The Faceless Lady follows three couples who have been invited to a medieval castle in Ireland for a weekend competition where they will either win her games or lose their lives.

Eli Roth is continuing to push the horror genre into new terrain, except this time, it’s through virtual reality.
The “Thanksgiving” director produces Meta, Crypt TV, and ShinAwiL series “The Faceless Lady” which will debut exclusively on Meta Horizon Worlds. Billed as the first known live-action VR series, the six-episode “The Faceless Lady” will premiere in stereoscopic (3D) and have weekly installments that transport viewers (players?) into a new world.
The series is set in Ireland and has a storyline inspired by real 17th century Irish folklore, particularly the myths surrounding Lady Margaret Hodnett who haunts Cork’s Belvelly Castle. Lady Margaret Hodnett is fabled to watch the castle’s visitors through mirrors and reflective surfaces. “The Faceless Lady” turns the myth on its head, quite literally, with three couples trying to survive playing Lady Margaret’s games during a weekend stay at the castle.

The first known live-action VR series, “The Faceless Lady” will premiere in stereoscopic (3D) and consist of six episodes, with one episode dropping every Thursday after the premiere.
“Partnering with Meta on VR originals has been an incredible experience, and I can’t wait for fans to enjoy VR horror in series form with ‘The Faceless Lady.’ Seeing the reaction to ‘Trick-vr-Treat’ and ‘Be Mine’ showed what an appetite genre fans have for this medium and how VR users are experiencing horror through the headset,” Roth said in a statement. “A VR horror episodic series will scare viewers in a way this medium has never seen before.”

Brat TV‘s latest acquisition will give it a foothold in the horror genre. The Gen Z-oriented media company, which produces shows like Chicken Girls and Attaway General, has acquired scare-oriented content producer Crypt TV.
News of the acquisition comes from Deadline, which did not disclose any financial details from the transaction. Brat plans to relaunch Crypt’s digital channels, which will be stocked with original, creator-driven series. Crypt’s founding team will continue to develop projects for film and TV. The spooky media company’s leaders include CEO Jack Davis, gore master Eli Roth, and film producer Darren Brandl.
Brat and Crypt have several similarities. Both digital media companies launched in the mid-2010s, and they have both built franchises out of original shows and characters. Chicken Girls, which began as the story of the titular high school clique, has since evolved into a multimedia enterprise that spans podcasts,...

Counting more than five million subscribers on YouTube, Brat TV also operates channels on streaming services like Samsung, Tubi and Roku, and partners with advertisers like Lego, Mars-Wrigley and Disney. Last year, the company’s video podcast with Drew Afualo, The Comment Section, was licensed exclusively by Spotify. Roku Channel has cut a deal with actor B.J. Novak’s ChainFest to air an hourlong special about the food festival that celebrates the culinary creations of chain restaurants.
Novak and chef Tim Hollingsworth created what is billed as an “immersive dining experience” that celebrates the pleasures of fast food and fast casual chain restaurants such as Chili’s, Panda Express, Pizza Hut, Red Robin and more. The event turns the tables on most food festivals by embracing the mass appeal of burgers and fries and such. The concept began in 2021 with a series of stealth pop-up events around Los Angeles. The first ChainFest was staged Dec. 1-3 in Hollywood at Nya Studios.
“We love chains. And it’s not just their playful trademarked dishes or silly mascots that we love, it’s that they have deep emotional resonance with hundreds of millions of people, across generations, across backgrounds. It’s...

This Jack Davis-inspired poster for Hundreds of Beavers may or may not have the literal "hundreds" on display; you can count, if you like. Either way, it gives the sense of scale and tone of the film's climactic finale. Illustrated and designed by Kyle Hilton, it wonderfully captures the madcap cartoon insanity of the film, although it belies the film's silent black and white aesthetic. The snowshoe'd hero is clearly on the run, busting, literally, out of the framed border. After seeing the film, you will get to know that oversized racoon hat very, very well. The maximal design leaves just enough room for the title card -- and the credit block simply ain't happening -- along with a pull quote, which frankly, does not...
