This weekend could end in a photo finish at the box office. "Secretariat," "Life as We Know It" and, in a holdover from last week, "The Social Network" will all compete for the top spot, and it's looking close at the moment. All three could rack up similar grosses — somewhere in the $15 million range — and experts are split on which film will be declared the winner.
If "Secretariat," Disney's retelling of the story of the greatest racehorse in history, can connect with families, the warm-hearted movie might well be trotting around the winner's circle Monday. Here's what the critics are saying:

New York - Walter Hawkins, lead singer of the gospel song world hit 'O Happy Day,' has died at his home in California from cancer, the internet service La Late reported Monday. The site said that Hawkins, a Grammy Award-winner and pastor, was 61 when he died at home in Ripon, east of San Francisco on Sunday. Hawkins, his brother Edwin and a few other siblings and friends founded the 'Edwin Hawkins Singers' in 1967. Two years later they recorded 'O Happy Day,' hoping it might sell a few hundred copies. The song became a worldwide hit, selling 7 million copies, and is regarded as the first gospel song to make it onto the pop music charts.
