The idiosyncratic lives of two bookies, Danny and Ray, continue as they try to manage their daily affairs, getting into trouble and finding their ways out of them. The fifth and sixth episodes of Bookie introduced a few new characters, and we got a glimpse of how Danny had used his brains to deal with threatening situations over the years and hasn’t lost that touch to this day. Bookie is a comedy that doesn’t miss its chance to comment on racial stereotypes and pop culture references. For example, in Bookie Episode 5, Ray threatens to kill a young boy in ‘gangster style,’ and then jokes about it with Danny about how people believe his empty threats because he is a heavyset, black man who roams around with the Italian Danny. Filled with such references all over, Bookie is building itself up to be a decent comedy show that must...

You can also keep an eye out for series regulars Billie Lourd, Denis O’Hare and Leslie Grossman. “Tell [them] to suck my c**t!” Kardashian says when she first shows up, setting the tone for her performance.
Critic Coleman Spilde, writing for The Daily Beast, said, “Her affected line readings and familiar face might make it hard to take the show completely seriously, but that’s exactly what ‘AHS’ needs: a season that has given up on trying to be anything more than good, campy fun.”
In the series, Kardashian plays Siobhan, the publicist for Emma Roberts’ Anna, a former CW star turned indie movie favourite.
USA Today critic Patrick Ryan said that Kardashian “cleverly leans into that Valley girl persona.”

This is the Pure Movies review of Sensation directed by Tom Hall, and starring Domhnall Gleeson, Luanne Gordon, Patrick Ryan, Kelly Campbell, Owen Roe, Eleanor Methven, Tracy Green, Madalina Alexe and Marie O'Neill. Sensation is screening as part of the London Film Festival, which Pure Movies is also covering on twitter @puremovies. A young man crouches by the gorse hedge of a field full of grazing sheep, pumping furiously at his crotch as he flicks the pages of a dirty magazine. Afterwards he heads back to an old farmhouse, when he sweeps kittens from his path as he navigates his way through piles of rubbish in the dank kitchen. He reaches the stairs, and there, upon the stairlift, sits a slumped figure – his father, dead. Instead of rushing to his aid, Donal (the promising Irish actor Domnhall Gleeson, who also pops up in Never Let Me Go) simply activates the mechanism,...

Sensation
Stars: Domhnall Gleeson, Luanne Gordon, Patrick Ryan, Kelly Campbell | Written and Directed by Tom Hall
Following the death of his father, young Donal (Gleeson) inherits the family farm. Unfortunately Donal has no interest in agriculture; moreover he is almost wholly preoccupied with the five-knuckle shuffle. With his father no longer around, Donal is driven by his loneliness, grief and near total lack of social skills to arrange a meeting with call girl Kim (Gordon). Circumstances conspire to bring the two together and they begin both a relationship and a business partnership when Kim reveals her ambition to start her own brothel.
Sensation is a very black comedy that surprises and provokes in equal doses. The central conundrum of the film that both the audience and Donal are forced to question is the true nature of the relationship between the two leads. Is Kim exploiting Donal or vice versa?...

It runs in the family, apparently, with Brendan Gleeson's son Domhnall taking up the acting mantle as the lead in Tom Hall's dark and - by the looks of things - sexually explicit dark drama Sensation. Here's the official synopsis from Tiff programmer Michele Maheux:
As is often the case with twenty-six-year-old man-boys, Donal Durkan (Domhnall Gleeson) is sexually unfulfilled. Living on a desolate farm in Tipperary, Ireland with his invalid father, he's had little-to-no contact with the outside world, let alone the opposite sex. Donal's mother passed away when he was only a toddler, and other than his dad he has one friend, Karl (Patrick Ryan), who lives on the farm, sponging off of Donal.
Boiling with lust, Donal's mind is completely preoccupied with images of the nude women featured in the pornographic magazines he keeps buried in a field next to a herd of sheep. His life is pretty uneventful,...
