Demon Slayer anime is certainly hurtling towards its endgame, going by how the situation is shaping up! While the opening episode of the Hashira Training arc was relatively light-hearted, it did touch upon the aftermath of the Swordsmith village arc, and the especially the new demon slayer marks which Mitsuri and Muichiro received.
As a bonus we got a revelation of Muzan’s past.
The upcoming Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc episodes will build on the discussion that Hashira had, and move on to the training that Tanjiro, Inosuke and Zenitsu will have to undergo.
While Tengen returns in the role of a teacher, Tamayo too will be making an appearance, playing a pivotal role in episode 2, and also the upcoming events.
As a battle with Muzan looms on the horizon, the stakes keep getting higher in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba.

“Spy x Family Code: White” is a fun, accessible jumping-on point for anyone unfamiliar with the “Spy x Family” anime, or the manga on which it’s based. However, in slowing down to let newcomers catch up, it tends to lack momentum. The plot isn’t strictly tied to the the comic or the show’s two seasons (it’s yet to be renewed for a third), but it picks up with the same basic premise: a found family with secret lives and abilities, which they keep guarded from one another, while a non-specific political conflict looms on the horizon.

Anime isn't a genre. It's a medium, one that's still fighting for mainstream acceptance in the West. Its hold on American audiences is stronger than ever, with Studio Ghibli blockbusters and franchises like "My Hero Academia" earning critical acclaim and global adoration. However, too many people still associate animation with children's viewing. While there are plenty of great anime films that parents can show to their kids, this attitude still leads to confusion. Not only is some anime emphatically not child-safe, but if you dismiss it as kids' stuff, you're missing out on some great movies.
If you've never watched an anime film before, rest assured that it's not all sailor uniforms and jiggly bits, just like how action movies aren't all gravelly-voiced men and sexy ladies. There's something for everyone, although we also confess that you're going to see a lot of Hayao Miyazaki and Mamoru Oshii here, and for good reasons.

The anime adaptation of the Wakame Konbu’s “The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious” manga is set to air in July this year. A teaser trailer, as well as a visual, have been revealed. The main cast includes Saori Hayami as Yuri and Rie Takahashi as Lilith.
“The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious” started out as a webcomic in 2019, before beginning serialization in Square Enix’s Monthly Gangan Joker magazine in January 2020. Yen Press has licensed the manga in English and described the plot as the following:
There’s something really strange about the maid I just hired! No normal person could be so beautiful, cook such amazingly delicious food, or know exactly what I want before I even ask. She must be using magic—right, a spell is the only thing that can explain why my chest feels so tight whenever I look at her. I swear,...

Netflix is going all in on anime as they add the eagerly anticipated Godzilla movie and 12 other projects to their slate of upcoming programming. Deadline says in addition to the series the network is also overseeing the development of Cannon Busters, Devilman Crybaby, B: The Beginning, and Knights Of The Zodiac: Saint Seiya just to name a few.
The Godzilla and Saint Seiya grabs really show that Netflix is working to grab their Western audience who loves anime, but with competitors like Crunchyroll and Funimation (who was recently bought by Sony) in the mix, who knows if they'll be able to compete on that front. Time will tell, but the addition of so many projects seems promising for the future of anime on the platform.

Based on a manga series, this delicately told story of wrongdoing, redemption and romance is subtle and sensuous
Naoko Yamada’s animation A Silent Voice is a lovely coming-of-age story, a tale of redemption and romance, based on a manga series by 27-year-old Yoshitoki Ōima. It’s enriched by a plangent musical score and moody ambient sound design. The original title is Koe No Katachi, translated in the opening and closing credits as “The Shape of Voice”, which comes mysteriously closer to the film’s meaning.
Miyu Irino voices Shoya, a nasty kid in primary school who bullies a hearing-impaired girl, Shoko, voiced by Saori Hayami. After he is finally caught and punished, Shoya is ostracised, an experience represented by crosses in front of everyone’s faces. Later, as a teenager in middle school, the penitent Shoya attempts to re-befriend Shoko and reconstruct his circle of friends from that time – all the kids who ignored,...

Screened at the closing of this year’s London Sci-Fi Oktoberfest, Eden of the East was premiered in the UK in a themed anime showcase. As the entire series will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on the 29th of November, I thought that it would be a good opportunity to review one of my favourite television shows to be released this year.
Based on the original story by Kenji Kamiyama, the series takes place a few months from now where Saki Morimi (Saori Hayami) is on a trip to America and bumps into a naked Akira Takizawa (Ryohei Kimura) with no memory of who he is. Shortly after, Akira finds a photograph, numerous passports and a mobile phone with eight billion yen in his supposed apartment and decides to travel back with Saki to Japan.
When they both return to Japan, they both continue to see each other while...
