Recruit. Rebuild. Win. Repeat. It’s a vicious cycle in college basketball, but one that Kentucky Wildcats head coach John Calipari seems to have mastered. Calipari won his first (and the school’s eighth) Ncaa championship as a head coach in 2012, then lost six players to the NBA Draft. The following season, UK missed the Ncaa Tournament entirely. In 2014, a young Wildcats team got it together in the postseason and reached the championship game as a No. 8 seed. This season, with few NBA defections and stars Aaron and Andrew Harrison, Willie Cauley-Stein, and Dakari Johnson returning, UK again has … Continue reading →

Being huge fans of the horror-themed sitcom "Holliston," we were intrigued when we heard of another show with a similar flavor. "Queen Gorya" is a horror-comedy television show that is currently developing its pilot. Check out the trailer. All hail the queen!
"Queen Gorya" is in the fundraising phase, looking to bring together enough scratch to create the pilot. If you dig the trailer, head over to the "Queen Gorya" Kickstarter page and see what's up.
Starring Satu Runa ("Dawson's Creek", The Coalition) as Queen Gorya, Haley Hudson ("Weeds", Freaky Friday) as Jane Riley, and Steve J. Palmer ("House of Lies") as Terry 'The Wolfman' Bowman, "Queen Gorya" is a killer concept created by Andrew Harrison and to be directed by Runa.

A new Us concert film celebrates Morrissey's 25 years solo, but can it mend fences and bring back alienated fans – like me?

Almost 10 years ago, I interviewed Morrissey for NME. After a dry spell without a record deal, Moz was poised to release You Are the Quarry, his first album since 1997. It was the first time he had spoken to NME since 1992, after the paper expressed its disquiet at Morrissey's flirtation with skinhead imagery in one of its most famous cover stories. He was every bit as good value as a fan like myself could have hoped, ending the interview with the characteristic advice that, since I hadn't enjoyed a lasting love affair, I was better off giving up and getting "a nice budgie" instead. A few weeks later, I saw him celebrate his 45th birthday in a triumphant concert at Manchester Arena.

Themed day gave undue prominence to release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, BBC Trust rules
A Harry Potter-themed day on BBC Radio 1 gave undue prominence to the film and breached editorial guidelines, the BBC Trust ruled today.
The station's Harry Potter Day was timed to coincide with the cinema release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince last year.
Coverage ran across four programmes, including The Chris Moyles breakfast show, while Radio 1 broadcast 33 trails promoting the day across 12-and-a-half hours of airtime.
Andrew Harrison, the chief executive of commercial radio trade body Radio Centre, which made the complaint, said the BBC had "fallen under the spell of celebrity" and was "selling listeners short".
It is the third time in the past 15 months that Radio 1 has been censured for too heavily endorsing a commercial product following complaints about its coverage of Coldplay's Viva La Vida tour and a corporation-wide...

London -- The BBC Trust has ruled that Radio 1, its youth-oriented broadcast network, breached editorial guidelines with a "Harry Potter" themed day last year.
The pubcaster's main radio station ran coverage across four separate programs as well as 33 separate radio trails marking the release of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" last July.
The complaint was partially upheld by the BBC Trust, which ruled that the extent of the coverage had amounted to "undue coverage."
But the Trust also said that Harry Potter was "a British cultural phenomena" and that a day's coverage could be viewed as legitimate.
