Silk is on a quest to find her missing family in her new series post Secret Wars, but the first arc seems to be more about finding out just how far she will go to accomplish that, and who she will ultimately become. The new book sees Cindy Moon joining forces with the Black Cat, and possibly becoming a wanted woman. How we get there is still to be revealed, but writer Robbie Thompson and artist Stacey Lee promise to make the journey a worthwhile one.
Of all the characters in the Spider-family, Silk is the one I'm most unfamiliar with, but the premise here is one that is likely to get me to give it a go. Check out the preview of issue #1, and you can buy the full issue when it releases on 11/11/15.

Here’s your first look at Silk #1, the new ongoing Marvel Comics series from writer Robbie Thompson and artist Stacey Lee.
Cindy Moon is back – and she’s running with the Black Cat and her gang?! Since she escaped the bunker and returned from the universe-hopping Spider-Verse her one mission has been to track down the missing members of her family. But her quest has taken her down a darker path than she ever expected, and now she’s found herself on the wrong side of the law, and in league with Marvel’s most ferocious feline, the Black Cat. What could have happened in the eight months since Secret Wars to get under her skin? Is there any redeeming her, or is she already lost? Find out this November in the all-new Silk #1!

Now that the adaptation of James Dashner's "The Scorch Trials" is two-thirds done, and the final installments of "The Hunger Games" and "Divergent" are coming, it's time to think about which young-adult books will translate well to the big screen.
And we're not just going to list the obvious, like name all of John Green's books (although "Looking for Alaska" is already in pre-production). We're going straight to the source - fellow young adult authors, many of whom have their own titles optioned and in the works.
Here are 14 Ya and children's authors' picks for the books they wish would get green lit.
1. Gayle Forman, author of "If I Stay"
"I would love to see Matt de la Peña's 'The Living' turned into a film. It follows a young man, named Shy, who works as a towel boy on a cruise ship that's sunk by a tsunami.

Now, as Silk, Cindy is on her own in New York City, searching for her past, defining her own future, and webbing up wrong-doers along the way! Robbie Thompson (writer from TV’s Supernatural) fills this new ongoing series with his unique blend of antics and feels. Featuring stunning covers by Eisner Award winner Dave Johnson and interiors by future superstar Stacey Lee.
