"I'm not going to let her get the better of me." Lionsgate has revealed an official trailer for an indie thriller titled Miss Willoughby and the Haunted Bookshop, a whodunit for grownups. A University professor with an insatiable appetite for investigation is asked by some old family friends to investigate a series of hauntings at their antique bookstore. Is someone playing a trick on the poor woman? Is it a hallucination? Or is something sinister going on? The film stars Nathalie Cox as Miss Willoughby, a "smart, stylish new detective in town" who can apparently solve every case - even one involving a haunting. Kelsey Grammer also co-stars in this, joined by Caroline Quentin, Steven Elder, Bhavna Limbachia, Ruth Horrocks, Bryan Samson, Lucas Livesey, and Wayne Gordon. Warning: contains Inside No. 9 spoilers.
Right at the start, Bev told us she was celebrating a birthday. The significance of that indefinite article passed us by until she protested in the final minutes, “I never said it were my birthday.” Bev was celebrating on behalf of Ryan, the baby she’d snatched from his pram two decades ago as a disturbed 10-year-old, and killed, concealing his skeleton inside a child’s doll.
‘Hurry Up and Wait’ is an uncomfortable half-hour with a macabre conclusion, as befits the creators and director of Psychoville (which in Dawn French’s Joy, also featured a grown woman with a sinister attachment to a baby doll, that one following the death of her own son – the dead baby being the sine qua non of subversive comedy.) The episode is an emotionally cold grotesquerie driven by social awkwardness, cringe comedy, and light satire on the acting world.

Exclusive: UK agent Matt Chopping is officially launching Innovate Talent Management with a roster of clients including Nikolai Kinski (Barbarians), Ricky Champ (Eastenders) and Bhavna Limbachia (Coronation Street).
London-based Chopping spent almost two decades at UK firm Waring and McKenna. The long-term plan for Innovate is to add agents to the company, grow the client base and potentially add a literary division.
Chopping told us: “The talent management industry is evolving, and my aim is for Innovate to be ahead of the curve. The world today is unrecognizable from how it was even a year ago; freedom from some of the complex infrastructure of yesterday will enable Innovate to become a truly accessible global brand, able to rapidly adapt to the changes that the entertainment industry will face in the post-Covid era.”
He continued: “My aim is to capitalize on my wealth of experience and long-standing relationships in the industry...
