Is it too late to cancel? Todd Newton and Alex Wehrley will host the Miss USA Pageant, replacing the show's original emcees just days before Sunday's telecast. Newton, a Daytime Emmy Award winner, and Wehrley, a former Miss Wisconsin USA, were hired Tuesday. Ok! TV's Julie Alexandria will comment from backstage. The trio signed on after most of the original hosts, judges and presenters backed out of the show in light of Donald Trump's inflammatory comments about Mexican immigrants. "As a TV host there are few stages more iconic than that of #MissUSA. Politics play no part. For me it's all about putting on a great show," Newton tweeted Tuesday. The next morning, he tweeted, "We're...

Director: Scott Preston. Cast: Dave B. Mitchell, Julie Alexandria and Rachel Fine. Travel Channel's "Paranormal Paparazzi" is one of those reality shows that an enthusiast of this pseudo-reality genre has to dread. The negative connotation of the latter P word only further blurs the line between what is fictional news and what are factual accounts of real incidents worth exploring. True to this series’ name, it takes citizen journalism to a whole new level and it can very easily pull focus on only one specific side of the paranormal reality television sub-culture and throw everything else out the window. Some clips are interesting to watch, like those showing how the legendary Mothman can also be spotted in other States besides West Virginia, but in terms of chasing down random people for a quote, that is unneeded. At the same time, viewers have to ask why the Mothman has left his West Virginia home.

When Kevin Jonas and bodyguard Big Rob called into "The Seven" on Thursday to talk about the X the Text campaign they're involved in with Allstate, the elder statesman of the Jonas Brothers commented on Demi Lovato, who left her tour with the JoBros last month to seek treatment for personal issues.
The guys have remained mum on the subject since Lovato left the tour, not addressing the matter until now, when they sent the singer/actress their well-wishes.
"I really haven't had any contact [with her]," Kevin said on "The Seven." "Of course, we wish her well in her recovery."
On the subject of texting, host Julie Alexandria asked Kevin if the rumor was true that middle Jonas brother, Joe, texted Taylor Swift back in 2008 to end the pair's relationship.

MTV has assigned one of its juggernauts to ring in its New Year's Eve special. "Jersey Shore" star Snooki will climb into a ball that is lowered into New York's Times Square as part of "MTV New Year's Bash".
Snooki is not the only "Jersey" cast to appear at the live event. The Situation would lead the crowd for a serious fist-pumping in an attempt to break a Guinness World Record. Meanwhile, DJ Pauly D would be the official DJ of the night.
Rapper Flo Rida is tapped to perform two songs while Whitney Cummings is one of the comedians who would give their unique take on the music, TV shows, Internet happenings, relationships and douche bags who made 2010 an unforgettable year, MTV said.
The hour-long show will be broadcast live from the MTV studios in Times Square with Cummings as the host. There will be additional reporting of the...

Some more CBS web series news today, this time out of CBS Interactive which is bowing two new original series for TV.com and CBSSports.com. Former Wallstrip host Julie Alexandria is coming back to the web as host of TV in a Flash , a new primetime TV recap series that will live on TV.com starting today. The two-minute recap series is weekly, so it's less about hitting the details of last night's shows instead bouncing on the top hits of the week. With a Sportscenter-style sidebar ticker of what she's covering, it's easy to keep up despite fast talking Alexandria as she rolls through speedcaps of House, NCIS, Modern Family and others. Still the two minutes seem rushed, more suited for on-the-go mobile content than a late 2009 weekly web series. That could be something to do with lead sponsor At&T, which developed the series alongside CBS Interactive through its ad agency Mediaedge:cia.
