The 18th annual San Antonio Film Festival will run for a solid week, June 18-24, at several locations around the city and will feature, as it always does, an expansive and impressive lineup of documentaries, thrillers, dramas and a ton of short films.
The fest kicks off on the 18th with the Canadian culture clash comedy French Immersion, directed by Kevin Tierney, followed by a block of homegrown short films from all over the great state of Texas. For years indie filmmakers in Hollywood have dreamed about taking revenge on those who have wronged them. It kind of makes you wonder just why no one has made a slasher flick about directors going nuts over the MPAA cutting their films. Fantasy, I know, but one can dream, no? Either way a new psycho based slice and dice called A Thousand Cuts is well on its way, and we have the trailer and artwork right here.
Directed by Charles Evered, A Thousand Cuts stars Michael O'Keefe (Emergo), Michael A. Newcomer, and Olesya Rulin.
Synopsis
A Thousand Cuts is a psychological thriller about a stranger with a haunted past (Academy Award nominee Michael O'Keefe), who shows up unannounced at the home of Hollywood's hottest horror director (Michael A. Newcomer)...determined to teach him what real horror is all about.
