In 2014, we were all about that bass. But Lina Esco and her friends and supporters were thinking a bit more northern; they were all about that basic human right to bare nipples.
The year of nippletasticness has been replete with freedom-fighting famous ladies, from free spirits like Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Cara Delevingne, and Scout Willis…

To moms who want to breastfeed without shame like, Alyssa Milano…
Wait! I don’t get it. No disrespect to Kim but… people are offended by my breastfeeding selfies & are fine with her (amazing) booty cover?

To funny ladies making a serious point like, Chelsea Handler.
Taking this down is sexist. I have every right to show I have a better body than Putin. pic.twitter.com/SFih1Aa17x — Chelsea Handler (@chelseahandler) October 31, 2014
And it’s all culminated with the release of Esco’s directorial feature debut,...

Paul Thomas Anderson’s legion of fans will get their chance to see the filmmaker’s latest Inherent Vice – at least those in New York and L.A. after a long build-up of anticipation. Studio Warner Bros. is handling the director’s latest, set in a drug-laced L.A. in the 1970s. Barring some unforeseen cataclysm, the feature is easily going to be this week’s b.o. superstar and likely one of the year’s biggest per screen debuts. How it will fare against other fall b.o. knock-outs like Searchlight’s Birdman or TWC’s The Imitation Game remains to be seen. A slew of Specialty openers will coincide with the Inherent Vice juggernaut. A24 will open Oscar-nominated filmmaker Atom Egoyan’s The Captive day and date after an early fall bow in the director’s native Canada. Sundance Selects will expose Free The Nipple in New York...

How do you rank perfection? Duncan has a go, as he lists the top 25 Jason Statham films...
For regular Den Of Geek readers, it will come as little surprise to see this list come round. We've chosen our favourite Statham films before, but such is the productivity of the great man, it was decided that a mere top ten was no longer large enough to contain his ever growing body of work. Last time I mentioned updating this piece to the man himself back in 2012 due to his insane workload, he cracked up and responded, “My productivity is overwhelming! 'Have a fucking day off!'”
Since this list has now expanded to encompass 25 of his movies, it seemed only right to include multiple sequels, with his big trio of action franchises all spawning some thoroughly entertaining fare worthy of mention, though I’ve tried to exclude the personal bias that...

Title: From the Head Director: George Griffith Starring: George Griffith, Samantha Lemole, Ahna O’Reilly, Matthew Lillard, Jon Polito, Jeffrey Doornbos A movie of considerable if to-scale surprises, micro-budgeted indie “From the Head” invites a certain amount of snickering and lowered expectation going in, touted as it is, in punny fashion, as the directorial debut of a “veteran strip club bathroom attendant,” and set in the very same arena of his experience. Yet as far as movies located almost entirely inside a bathroom go, this one is light years better than Hunter Richards’ insipid “London,” starring Jessica Biel and Chris Evans. Written, directed by and starring George Griffith, “From the Head” [ Read More ]

To celebrate the presence of Safe in UK cinemas, here’s an updated list of action hero Jason Statham’s very best films to date…
2011 was without doubt Jason Statham’s best year so far. He managed a grand total of four cinematic releases, though at one point that total was nearer six, until 13 seemed to vanish without a trace and Safe was sensibly pushed back to 2012, thus avoiding an overload of machismo greater than the average human could cope with.
As a result of his insane productivity, our long-standing list of his greatest movies so far needed an update, an event that will hopefully need to be done annually, as he continues to be one of the most productive actors working today.
Statham’s still sensibly chosen to concentrate on making action movies and thrillers all squarely aimed at an adult audience, providing a constant and much-needed fix for someone as bloodthirsty as me,...

As he takes pride of place in The Expendables, Duncan counts down the finest movies of his action movie idol, Mr Jason Statham...
Now, before you start reading any further, you might be thinking, "What the hell have they written this list for? Surely he hasn't even made ten films yet?"
But you'd be wrong on two counts.
Firstly, the reason that Jason Statham has been so successful is from working damn hard since he broke through in 1998 with Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels. In the last twelve years, he's clocked up twenty-four onscreen appearances.
Sensibly, he's chosen to concentrate on mostly making the films that he's naturally suited to: action movies.
The reason I'm most grateful for this is because of the seeming generosity with which it feels he's rewarding me as an action fan. I'd be happy if every other film he ever did was a sequel to The Transporter,...
