Raise your hand if you thought Jordan Gavaris, who plays the hilarious Felix on sci-fi sensation "Orphan Black," is British. I'm guilty of that misclassification, and in my "Orphan Black" review nearly published a description of him as "British actor." The reality is Gavaris is Canadian, a local boy who grew up just outside of Toronto, but you wouldn't know it.
As heavily-accented Felix, Gavaris is an almost-scene-stealer; I say "almost" because lead actress Tatiana Maslany (Sarah, Alison, Cosima, etc.) is such a wonder in her own right. The two depict foster siblings so seamlessly that it's hard to believe they aren't related in real life, or at least old, dear friends.
HuffPost TV spoke with Gavaris about this breakthrough show, how he feels about the lone dissenting critic, and what's in store for Felix in Season 2 (we have a suggestion, producers/writers!).
Ok, so it's a bit weird talking to you without your accent.

It turns out that every tiny niche of daily existence from the cradle to the grave has been plumbed for the purposes of creating reality TV. To make that case, Discovery Fit & Health has created "Funeral Boss," a series about life (and death) at a mortuary premiering tonight at 10 p.m. As this show isn't for everyone, this exclusive clip may not be, either, so consider yourself warned. Though this footage isn't graphic, it does feature an honest-to-God dead person, which might distress some viewers. Good thing the series' star, Bill Harris, and his kids have no such qualms about seeing...

Jon Axworthy peeks at the secret Hollywood email that tips the scripts most likely to end up on the Oscars red carpet
There's nothing that Hollywood loves more than a good list. Usually, these lists are all about the opening-weekend grosses, but there is one out there based on the words on the page before the box office even opens. It has become an indicator of Oscar success and one of the most anticipated events in the movie industry.
It began in 2005, when Franklin Leonard was a development executive for Leonardo DiCaprio's production company, Appian Way. As a hungry exec, Leonard was always on the lookout for good new scripts, but he'd had enough of the derivative efforts coming across his desk. He decided to send out an email to the money movers, studio shakers and green lighters asking them to rank the best 10 scripts that they'd seen all year; he got 90 emails back.

Yes, Chris Colfer really is as nice as he seems.
I first interviewed the Glee actor, the guy with both the voice and the face of an angel, long before the show debuted last fall, and the 19-year-old couldn't have been more down-to-earth (not to mention intelligent and funny). He and Kevin McHale, who plays Artie on the show, were practically begging me to put Kurt up for AfterElton.com's Gay of the Week.
I did, and he won.
Flash forward almost a year, and I recently had a chance to interview Chris again. Despite the fact that the past nine months have included his show's break-out success, near-universal raves for his performance, and an Advocate-fueled "controversy" about whether or not he was really "out," he couldn't have been more accessible and less jaded.
AfterElton.com readers recently coined the term "Glee-va" to describe a self-absorbed cast member from the show,...

As part of the entire press' never-ending effort to ask everyone and their mother in the universe about NBC's late night shake-up, a man who can provide some real perspective on the matter has spoken up.
Chevy Chase, star of NBC's Community and former star of the late night titanic The Chevy Chase Show on Fox, told The Toronto Sun's Bill Harris at the Television Critics Association press tour that he felt Tonight Show host Conan O'Brien has gotten the short end of the ugly stick, now that Jay Leno has wormed his way back into his old time slot.
He attributed the move to NBC's long standing relationship with Jay and thinks Conan and company will bail ship and head to Fox because, "I think he's too good for The Tonight Show in terms of intellect, and maybe too bad for it because of that, too."
