Tucker Carlson hasn’t left Fox Corporation quite yet.
The company’s Fox News Media unit has hours and hours of various specials and original programming the controversial anchor developed for the subscription-based streaming service Fox Nation, and doesn’t appear poised to take any of that content down.
The Carlson-created options currently available on the service are manifold. There is a program called “Let Them Eat Bugs!” that examines how “global leaders, movie stars and social media influencers are making a concerted push to force bugs into your diet, whether you like it or not.” A “Tucker Carlson Originals Christmas Special” is available for those interested. And Carlson’s last broadcast on Fox News Channel — from Friday, April 21 — is ready to for binge-viewing. There are also classic Carlson interviews to be found in “Tucker Carlson Tonight: The Vault.”

Even Newsmax, the network which itself is being sued by Dominion Voting Systems for promoting false claims that Dominion engaged in election fraud, is done with Lara Logan.
The onetime 60 Minutes correspondent has been kicked off the far-right network after comments she made on Eric Bolling’s show that included wild assertions such as “the open border is Satan’s way of taking control of the world,” and the anti-Semitic — and patently false — idea that an elite cabal “want us eating insects [and] cockroaches” while they “dine on the blood of children.”

Lara Logan, a former correspondent for 60 Minutes and CBS News, has been banned from the right-wing channel Newsmax following a rant pushing various QAnon-style conspiracies. In a strange interview with host Eric Bolling, Logan talked about a “global cabal” that is planning to bring “100 million illegal immigrants” to the United States to “dilute the pool of patriots.” She added that “the open border is Satan’s way of taking control of the world” before saying that the world’s elites “want us eating insects [and] cockroaches” while they “dine on the blood of children.” The network quickly distanced itself from Logan and her bizarre comments, telling CNN in a statement, “Newsmax condemns in the strongest terms the reprehensible statements made by Lara Logan and her views do not reflect our network. We have no plans to interview her again.” During her time at CBS News, Logan was known for her war reporting,...

The day after Lara Logan’s unhinged rant on Newsmax about a Satanic “global cabal” that must be defeated by White Christians, the far-right news network has banned her from its airwaves.
On Eric Bolling’s show on Wednesday night, she began regurgitating Q-Anon talking points, including the racist “Great Replacement” conspiracy theory, insisting she had proof of a worldwide plan to fully implement in the United States. That escalated to talk of Satan and non-Republicans who “dine on the blood of children.”
“Newsmax condemns in the strongest terms the reprehensible statements made by Lara Logan,” the network said in a statement shared with The Daily Beast on Thursday. “We have no plans to interview her again.”

Ortiz and CBS News executives announced the decision during a morning editorial call Wednesday. A search for a new top producer at “CBS Evening News” is expected to start in the near future. CBS News recently came to new terms with anchor Norah O’Donnell to extend the contract that keeps her behind the desk through 2024. Vladimir Putin is ramping up his brutal assault on Ukraine, shelling civilians from Odessa to Kharkiv, and leveling the port city of Mariupol — leading President Joe Biden to denounce the Russian dictator as a “war criminal.” But if the initial days of the war were marked by some conservatives muting their admiration for the Russian state, a spate of notorious right-wing figures are now dropping the mask to defend Putin, and even claim his fight as their own.

As Russia has intensified its war in Ukraine, the Kremlin’s propaganda outlets have largely been shut off in the West — but Vladimir Putin has some not-so-subtle defenders nestled into America’s far-right media outlets.
That includes from Fox News’ biggest boy, Tucker Carlson, as well as the folks of Oan. Arguably the front-runner for the most outrageous claim came from Oan correspondent Pearson Sharp, who speculated wildly in a segment last week that Putin’s decision to invade a sovereign country was actually the fault of — wait for it — President Biden.

Updated, with Fox News comment: Anthony Fauci said that Fox News’ Jesse Watters should be “fired on the spot” after he used violent metaphorical terms to describe how President Joe Biden’s chief medical adviser could be confronted in public.
Watters spoke on Monday night to Turning Point USA, the right-wing pro-Trump youth group, and was describing how people could “ambush” Fauci with a camera to ask him questions, something that could elicit a “kill shot,” a term for an ultimate clip that would garner attention and be played over and over again.
Fauci has been subjected to death threats throughout the pandemic, and was forced to beef up personal protection and travel with a security detail.
He responded to Watters’ clip on CNN’s New Day on Tuesday.
“That is horrible. That is such a reflection of the craziness that goes on in society,” Fauci told host John Berman.

Fox Nation, the subscription-based streaming service from Fox News Media, has debuted as an optional add-on on YouTube TV, a sign of how some broadband-video outlets are looking for new ways to reach potential customers.
Starting Tuesday, YouTube TV subscribers have the option to add Fox Nation to their YouTube TV subscription for $5.99 a month. While the service caters to conservative and right-leaning consumers, Fox has over time built up Fox Nation’s programming library so that it expands beyond politics and opinion, including documentaries, true-crime series and even movies. The service also offers Fox News’ primetime opinion shows a day after they air; programs led by Nancy Grace and Lara Logan; and a bespoke program from host Tucker Carlson.

Anyone who has interviewed CNN anchor Chris Cuomo knows he can talk his way out of trouble, and sometimes talk himself into it.
On TV, his 10 p.m. handoffs to Don Lemon sometimes go on long enough that producers must worry about having to push back a commercial break. In person, a conversation with Cuomo is usually loose and unfettered, and he can get to chatting so intensely that he forgets about the talking points his minders at CNN would like him to keep at hand.
He’s going to have to count on that gift of gab in days to come.
Cuomo’s easy way with conversing on air has helped him become CNN’s most-watched anchor, and executives at the WarnerMedia news outlet are no doubt hoping his avuncular interviewing style and the “let’s-get-after-it” primetime mantra he espouses on his show, “Cuomo Prime Time,” will carry him...

By the time CNN’s new streaming service CNN+ debuts in early 2022, Fox News will have launched its third streaming service. MSNBC, meanwhile, has been creating content for NBCUniversal’s Peacock. With such a late start, can CNN learn from the innovation of its two biggest cable news competitors? Gary Kaltbaum, president of Kaltbaum Capital Management and host of the nationally syndicated radio show “Investor’s Edge,” sees one way CNN can copy the success of Fox News’ Fox Nation: “Use some of your best and popular talent,” he advised. Kaltbaum pointed to Fox Nation’s programming from Fox News primetime host Tucker Carlson, who helms the most popular show in cable news, as well as shows by Nancy Grace, Dan Bongino and Lara Logan, all of whom “are household names” who draw viewers from television to streaming. Hub Entertainment Research founder and principal Jon Giegengack said CNN has some advantages in waiting.

He will retain his role as executive vice president of marketing for Fox News Media.
With the new gig, Klarman will oversee the streaming platform’s operations, content and subscriber acquisition. He will also be in charge of its continued transformation to a lifestyle and entertainment service, an effort he has spearheaded.
“I’m excited to help take Fox Nation to the next level and build on its success over the last two years,” said Klarman in a statement Tuesday.
In 2018, he rejoined Fox News as a consultant before being made EVP of marketing in 2019. He was part of the team that launched the Fox News Channel in 1996. He left and oversaw marketing for USA Cable, acted as EVP of marketing and digital at Bravo Media, served as...

Streaming-video hub Fox Nation is opening its borders – to advertisers.
The Fox News subscription service will offer marketers the chance to embed their products in some of its programs, which have in the recent past included a crime series led by Nancy Grace, a documentary series hosted by former CBS News correspondent Lara Logan, and a cooking show built around “Fox & Friends” host Steve Doocy. Fox Nation will not run traditional TV ads, says Jeff Collins, executive vice president of ad sales at Fox News Media, but will work with potential sponsors so they are aware of Fox Nation programming “early in the development process” and can collaborate on ways to place products in specific shows.

Hollywood Casting Firm Breakdown Sued by Woman Who Says She Was Dismissed After Supervisor Raped Her
A woman who has worked for 12 years for the Hollywood casting firm Breakdown Services on Tuesday filed a lawsuit accusing the company of hiring a registered sex offender who sexually assaulted her on the job.
In her 21-page complaint filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, former customer services assistant Deana Maioli said she was assaulted last September in the company parking lot by a supervisor named Jamal Bryant after a pattern of sexual harassment and threats.
The suit also says that when she reported the sexual assault to company officials, she was forced to repeat her accusations in a semipublic space — and then suspended and later forced to resign. She is seeking unspecified damages. “Defendants paid no attention to Plaintiff’s desperate pleas for help, and when they finally did listen, violated her privacy and made her out to be the wrongdoer,” the suit said.

If you’ve seen coverage of Fox Nation and wondered how it differs from Fox News, executives have heard you. A new 20-second ad outlining the differences between Fox News and its subscription streaming service will air during the Super Bowl on Feb. 2.
The spot, titled “Celebrating America,” sees a producer running from a Fox News control room to find talent who can cover breaking news. When he runs into the green room, he finds Fox Nation talent, Marilyn Monroe, a firefighter and a bald eagle.
“This is actually the Fox Nation green room,” says Abby Hornacek, who hosts the travel-themed Fox Nation show “Park’d,” along with the streaming service’s “American Arenas” — which goes inside sports venues — and “The Ride to Work.”

Former “60 Minutes” correspondent Lara Logan spoke out about her lawsuit against New York Magazine ahead of the launch of her new Fox Nation show, saying details of her sexual assault in Egypt leave no room for “dispute.”
“I was raped over and over and again. I was sodomized repeatedly. I almost died on that filthy street in Tahrir Square and New York Magazine wrote that I was groped. What happened to me in Egypt is not in dispute,” she told the Los Angeles Times in an interview that ran Monday.
In December 2019, Logan sued New York Media and writer Joe Hagan over a five-year-old article that she claims derailed her career. She is seeking $25 million in damages.

Former “60 Minutes” correspondent Lara Logan is suing New York Media and writer Joe Hagen over a five-year-old article that she claims derailed her career. She is seeking $25 million in damages.
The defamation suit, filed Thursday, states that Logan believes her career at CBS News was impacted by the 2014 New York Magazine piece called “Benghazi and the Bombshell.” The piece reviewed one of Logan’s stories, focusing on the Benghazi attack, which was retracted when it was revealed one of her on-the-record sources had lied in his interview.
According to the New York Post, she says the release of the “hit piece” seven months after her story was retracted “entirely and completely derailed” the plan for her to continue working at “60 Minutes.” The suit says her pay was cut following the publication of Hagen’s piece.

Nancy Grace is joining Fox Nation, the network’s streaming service, with a crime show airing in January 2020.
The series will be similar to Grace’s eponymous show on Hln, which aired from 2005 to 2016, and follow Grace as she creates her podcast and SiriusXM radio show, “Crime Stories With Nancy Grace,” five days a week.
“We spotlight breaking crime and justice news, help find missing people, especially children, solve unsolved homicides and analyze clues left behind,” Grace told the Associated Press.
Grace is a former prosecutor who has since made her name on television as a political commentator. In 2005, she hosted the “Nancy Grace” primetime show on Hln (formerly CNN Headline News), where she covered high-profile criminal cases like the Casey Anthony and Amanda Knox trials. Fox News is so pleased with the first year of its subscription streaming service Fox Nation that the network is setting bigger goals for the platform to appeal to both hardcore fans of the cable giant as well as newbies.
The company has not released subscription or revenue figures, but Fox Nation head John Finley told TheWrap the service has surpassed internal projections for sign-ups and trumpeted its 80% trial-to-subscription rate — higher than the industry standard — and a low churn rate of people unsubscribing.
Moreover, the service has added thousands of hours of content from Fox News regulars like Bret Baier Kat Timpf, Tomi Lahren and Judge Andrew Napolitano as well as an increasing amount of programming that might seem to fall outside the network’s wheelhouse. That includes Brian Kilmeade’s history show “What Made America Great,” travel series like Abby Hornacek’s “Park’D,” Ed Henry’s sports-themed “Front...

Fox News subscription streaming extension Fox Nation has announced Lara Logan, a former CBS News and 60 Minutes correspondent, as host of a four-part documentary series that will debut in January.
No Agenda with Lara Logan will feature four 90-minute installments each comprised of four episodes that will be released simultaneously on the streaming platform. Fox Nation plans 16 episodes under the new documentary umbrella, with four areas of focus: media bias, immigration, socialism and veterans. Logan will report from the front lines of America’s political and ideological war zones and dive into a number of hot-button issues with on-the-ground coverage and expert interviews.
Logan parted ways with CBS in 2018 after an eventful 16-year tenure at the network. She apologized in 2013 for errors in a 60 Minutes report about the terrorist attacks on the U.S. embassy in Benghazi, Pakistan, and ended up taking a leave of absence related to that segment.

Lara Logan, the journalist who gained wider renown covering war-torn spots in the Middle East for CBS News, is no longer with the network and has not been for several months.
The split, disclosed as the result of Logan making an appearance over the weekend on a podcast in which she suggested news consumers ought to get information from both liberal and conservative outlets, might come as a surprise to outsiders. Logan had been working for “60 Minutes” and gained a reputation for visiting dangerous locales in Afghanistan and Iraq, often embedded with U.S. armed forces. She joined CBS News in 2002 and had been one of the unit’s top foreign correspondents.
