The opening show of S Club‘s long-awaited 25th-anniversary reunion tour was as much a celebration of their time together as it was a celebration of Paul Cattermole, the longtime member of the British pop group who died earlier this year from an underlying heart condition at the age of 46.
Kicking off the tour in Manchester at Ao Arena, the group — now a five-piece following the death of Cattermole in April and the departure of singer Hannah Spearrit — reunited for the first time in eight years. On stage, they took...

S Club has released their first single in 20 years in tribute to their bandmate Paul Cattermole, who died in April at the age of 46. The single, titled "These Are the Days," honors Cattermole, and the song's music video sees the band look through a photo album full of memories of their career.
The group, formerly called S Club 7 but later rebranded S Club, felt Cattermole's presence when shooting the video. "There was a butterfly. We were all sat down and a butterfly came from nowhere. It was a really bright, beautiful butterfly which flew down and went off," Tina Barrett told The Sun. "I don't know why, but I just thought, 'That's Paul.' It came from nowhere." Rachel Stevens added: "There's little signs of Paul everywhere. On the video shoot, there was a vinyl coaster and it said 'Good Times' on it.

Doja Cat has reacted to losing her blue tick on Twitter.
The social media platform is currently in the process of removing verified checkmarks from legacy accounts that won’t pay a fee of $8 for Twitter Blue.
When a fan noticed Doja Cat’s missing blue tick, telling her that “it’s over” for her, the “Woman” singer replied, saying: “Only fans have blue ticks.”
She added: “Having a blue tick now means there’s a higher chance that you’re a complete loser and that you’re desperate for validation from famous people.”
After taking over Twitter, Elon Musk announced that he was launching a “Blue” paid subscription service for users who want a blue check, and other features after an initial rollout included a wave of parody accounts posing as brands.

Country star Zach Bryan has voiced his support for the transgender community amid the transphobic backlash against Bud Light’s campaign with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
Last week, veteran country artist Travis Tritt announced that he would be removing Anheuser-Busch products from his rider over the company’s partnership with Mulvaney.
Scores of videos have been shared on social media showing conservative consumers pouring away drinks owned by the company, including Budweiser and Michelob, or smashing them up.
In a tweet shared Tuesday (11 April), Bryan used Tritt’s own lyrics against him to defend the transgender community.
“I mean no disrespect towards anyone specifically, I don’t even mind @Travistritt,” the 27-year-old artist wrote.
“I just think insulting transgender people is completely wrong because we live in a country where we can all just be who we want to be. It’s a great day to be alive I thought.

Four years after the lights went out in the iconic “Big Brother” house at Elstree Studios outside London, the show has sensationally announced a return.

Shilpa Shetty, the Indian actress known for her roles in Hindi movies and as a TV personality, has been cleared of “obscenity” charges dating back to a 15-year-old incident at a charity event.
At an Aids awareness event in 2007 in India, Hollywood star Richard Gere publicly kissed Shetty on the arm and on both cheeks while they were being videoed on stage. The brief, if strange, moment provoked a fiery reaction in India, with radical Hindu groups taking umbrage with the public display of affection, and in particular criticizing Shetty for not resisting.
You can footage of the moment via AP here:
At the time, a judge issued arrest warrants for both parties on charges including “indecency” and “obscenity”. The case against Gere was swiftly dropped, and the actor, who is a Buddhist, was soon allowed to return to India.
Shetty’s charges, however, languished in the court system until...

Actress-entrepreneur Shilpa Shetty Kundra says her journey in the Hindi film industry was not an easy ride as producers threw her out of their films without giving any reasons.
In a post shared on the official Humans of Bombay Instagram page, Shilpa, who made her debut in Bollywood with "Baazigar" in 1993, opened up about her journey and struggles she faced in the Hindi film industry.
"I was this dark, tall and lanky child who had her life pretty much laid out for her. I'd graduate and work with my dad. Even though in my heart I wanted to do something different, something bigger and better, I never felt like I could. But when I participated in a fashion show, just for fun, I met a photographer who wanted to click my photographs," she wrote.

Alexander O'Neal has revealed his reasoning for quitting Celebrity Big Brother following his dramatic departure over the weekend.
The singer became embroiled in two unpleasant confrontations with showbiz blogger Perez Hilton, which resulted in a formal warning from Big Brother over O'Neal's use of an offensive term.
Speaking to CBB host Emma Willis on Celebrity Big Brother's Bit On The Side, Alexander revealed why he walked, saying: "I did it for myself and for my housemates."
He added that "the stress became unbearable" prior to his exit, and was subsequently forced to accept that the 'Perez problem' was not going to go away.
But Alexander is not the only disgruntled celebrity housemate to voluntarily leave, and we doubt he'll be the last.
Some, like Claire King, withdrew from the show due to illness, while others have been removed by producers.
But can you remember some of the former CBB stars...

Big Brovaz made a surprise comeback on UK television on Friday night during Celebrity Big Brother's launch.
Four of the original six members appeared on Channel 5's Bit on the Side, performing arguably their most famous hit 'Nu Flow'. Their appearance met with the enjoyment of many fans online, and the group were a Twitter trend for the remainder of the weekend.
The R&B-pop group scored four top ten hits in the early 2000s, and were perhaps the 'nice' antidote to So Solid Crew at the time. Cherise and Nadia later went on to form Booty Luv, and they disbanded by 2007.
To celebrate their comeback (and commiserate that they're not part of The Big Reunion), Digital Spy presents five of their best tracks, in chronological order...

Easily the band's most memorable track, and still to this day an excellent R&B/pop hit.

Rachel Stevens says S Club 7 are unlikely to reform on 'The Big Reunion'. While the 35-year-old beauty is a big fan of the ITV2 show, which saw former 1990s pop groups such as Blue and Atomic Kitten get back together, she has hinted the 'Bring It All Back' hitmakers - also consisting of Tina Barrett, Paul Cattermole, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O'Meara and Hannah Spearritt - would probably need their own show because there are so many members. She said: ''It's a great show, but I think for us, there's seven of us ... seven of us getting back...

S Club 7 are reportedly being courted for a new reunion TV special.
The late 1990's and early 2000's pop group are said to be wanted by their former management company for a show to rival ITV2's The Big Reunion, The Sun reports.
19 Entertainment are allegedly putting together their own reality show with all seven members of the band, in a similar fashion to Steps' reunion for Sky Living.
It would be the first time S Club 7 have all been together since Paul Cattermole's departure in 2002.
"The Big Reunion was such an incredible success the first time round that ITV are currently signing up bands for the second series," a source said.
"S Club were very high on their list, but getting them seems to have been scuppered by this latest move.
"To be fair to 19 Entertainment, they created S Club 7 so there's no reason why...

Brian Dowling is "dreading" a repeat of the Shilpa Shetty race row in 'Celebrity Big Brother'. The Irish TV host - who is fronting the fly-on-the-wall series when it re-launches on Channel 5 on Thursday (18.08.11) - admitted he fears being faced with the same controversy as his predecessor Davina McCall after 'CBB' housemates, the late Jade Goody, Jo O'Meara and Danielle Lloyd were accused of racially abusing the Bollywood actress on the show in 2007. He told Bang Showbiz: "My worst fear is that coming from nice, entertainment, funny television, I haven't done anything like this before. So I'm absolutely dreading...

Halfway through watching this documentary about Miss Nude Australia we realised that we were in our front room with my curtains wide open. What if passing neighbours saw Miss Nude Sydney, a buffed-up Jo O'Meara-a-like, swirling her bare-breasted body on a cat's playhouse? Or, for that matter, another contestant, bent over double with her bottom pointing skywards, acting out hand puppets over the top of it?...
