Controversial YouTube star Tana Mongeau, best known for her outlandish 'Storytime' videos and the ill-conceived TanaCon convention -- which spun into chaos but spawned a successful docuseries -- is hitting the road on a four-city U.S. tour.
Unlike TanaCon, however, Mongeau’s forthcoming outing will be produced in collaboration with a proven partner: the three-year-old Australian influencer touring company Amplify Live, which has partnered with the likes of Troye Sivan, Tyler Oakley, Connor Franta, and MyLifeAsEva in the past. While the company has previously focused on events in Australia and New Zealand, Mongeau’s tour marks its first stateside affair. Subsequently, Amplify is planning a massive push into the U.S. next year with upwards of 100 planned events, it says.

Just one day after it revealed its plan to distribute Pentatonix’s tour documentary, Vimeo has announced another deal centered around a film that captures YouTube stars on the road. Vimeo On Demand is the home for #O2LForever, Fullscreen and Rockstream Studios’ documentary about YouTube supergroup Our2ndLife (O2L).
#O2LForever director Michael Goldfine tagged along with O2L as the supergroup--composed of members Connor Franta, Kian Lawley, Jc Caylen, Ricky Dillon, Trevor Moran, and Sam Potorff--performed across the Us as part of The Digitour, a cross-country series of events featuring social media stars. Along the way, Goldfine gleaned all the information he needed to create what Vimeo calls the “final account” of O2L; the group split up at the end of 2014.

DigiFest NYC has just enlisted its main musical attraction. Demi Lovato will headline the third annual DigiFest NYC event on June 6, 2015, at Citi Field in Queens.

At the end of 2014, Our2ndLife--a YouTube supergroup made up of five popular vloggers--released its final video. Three weeks later, two of those vloggers have teamed up once again with a new channel of their own. Kian Lawley and Jc Caylen have launched KianAndJc, a collaborative effort that has already snapped up more than half a million subscribers.
Aside from Connor Franta, who was originally a member of Our2ndLife before departing the group in July 2014, Caylen and Lawley were arguably the most popular members of Our2ndLife. Lawley's 2.4 million-strong subscriber count and Caylen's two million-plus count are higher totals than fellow O2L members Ricky Dillon, Trevor Moran, and Sam Potoroff.
On their new channel, Caylen and Lawley have already put their popularity to use. On January 12th, they posted the first of seven videos counting down the days until they would launch their new channel. Over the next week,...

The remaining members of YouTube supergroup Our2ndLife (aka O2L to the kids these days) are going solo. The collection of talented young men who are liked and adored by the camera and millions of fans worldwide announced in a video on December 29, 2014 the group will be disbanding its five-year-old YouTube channel.
O2L current members Jc Caylen, Kian Lawley, Ricky Dillon, Trevor Moran, and Sam Pottorff sit down with viewers in a frank video where they explain the end of their collective moniker isn’t “goodbye,” just a goodbye “on this channel.” The guys discuss how they want to leave O2L and its 2.8+ million subscribers on a high note and explain how they each now have their own individual projects, which are demanding more of their attention. They thank their fans for being so supportive and end the video with a group tackle.

In a recent recap of The Digitour's Digifest NYC event, I liked the fanatical support for young YouTube stars to Beatlemania. Going by that analogy, the YouTube community is about to receive its version of A Hard Day's Night. According to Mashable, Connor Franta, Jc Caylen, Kian Lawley, Ricky Dillon, Sam Pottorff and Trevor Moran, who together make up the YouTube supergroup Our 2nd Life (O2L) will star in a documentary that will chronicle their current worldwide tour. O2L's six members are all popular YouTube vloggers in their own right, and their combined effort is one of the fastest-growing channels on YouTube. In the past year, it has accrued more than 1.6 million subscribers and added nearly 200 million views to its tally. O2L videos frequently focus on typical YouTube conceits such as themed videos and challenges, but the group's main strength is its collective ability to look great on camera.

Oh, my friends. The time has come at last! It’s our final audition episode! And also somehow only our sixth. Have we been at this since early 1986, or does it just feel like it? This is interminable. This is Roots, but with white tweens. This is Shoah, scored by Jessie J. This is Sex & the City 2. Tonight’s episode starts in medias res: Trevor Moran, our irrepressibly effeminate adolescent, has been repressed by some mystery ailment. He is on the ground, stricken, as unconvincing voiceovers ask: “Is he okay?”, “Is he dead?”, and most importantly, “Is that a contestant?” It turns out he’s just a little too wound up and dehydrated, so they ply him with Aquafina, the Pepsi bottled water that, at the very least, has a lower sodium content than rival Dasani. Real talk: Is there anything more depressing than a bottle of Dasani?Anyway.

The auditions are finally over, and if I haven't commended The X Factor enough on its second season already, I have to admit that this was the perfect length of audition episodes.
We saw a few more quality contestants, we witnessed a couple more train wrecks, and the judges got in a few more digs on Thursday night's audition finale. Now it's off to Boot Camp, but first let's relive the final X Factor auditions of 2012 with The Good, The Bad, and The Judges...
The Good
Owen Stuart: While I would put Owen's silly puppy love idea to try out for The X Factor in order to reunite with his girlfriend into the Bad section of this post, his performance definitely belongs in the Good. Honestly, has he not heard of an airplane? Or maybe a Google Hangout? Luckily for Owen, he was great with "Airplanes." His flow was some...

You guys, this was the last episode of auditions! Things kicked off with following the health of 13-year-old Trevor Moran, who had collapsed at the end of last night's episode right before his audition. It turned out that Trevor was suffering from dehydration, and although they skipped over him and continued with other contestants, Trevor got back on his feet and went out on stage to show the judges what he had to offer. So how'd he do? Awesome! Especially for a guy that was about to go to the hospital. The young boy that was bursting with life sang the (what Simon Cowell mentioned may not be age appropriate) song "Sexy and I Know It" by Lmfao. There was so much...

Plus, whatever happened to that contestant who passed out? Find out what went down in the final round of auditions! We made it to the last night of auditions, ya'll! The Sept. 27 episode of The X Factor picked up with that totally nail-biting cliffhanger from last night. If you remember, 13-year-old Trevor Moran passed out before hitting the stage, but once he got some fluids in him, he was in front of the judges rocking out to the totally Not inappropriate Lmfao song, "Sexy and I Know It." It was a little over the top, but still hilarious. He received four yes's! Meanwhile, the girls were backstage swooning over Owen Stuart, 16, who could not stop talking about his serious girlfriend — a girl he's apparently kissed once and wants to marry already. I'm a sentimental gal and everything, but I lost it when he said, "This one's for Tori" right before he broke out into B.

The end of Wednesday's X Factor employed one of the cheapest cliff-hangers in the book — will the sickly contestant live to audition? — which means there was no time for silly pre-taped bits about straw hats and tiaras on Thursday's episode. Instead, we cut back right back to 13-year-old Trevor Moran who still looks unresponsive after passing out in his mother's lap while waiting to audition.
Trevor's eyes soon open and it turns out he was dehydrated, which means he's already halfway on the road to stardom! Way to give it 100 percent, Trev! Pretty much the first words out of his mouth are about his audition. But when he gets to the stage, Simon Cowell could seemingly care less about his health scare. "You got one chance at this so you...

On Thursday’s long-awaited final night of auditions, backstage drama came to a head when paramedics were called to 13-year-old contestant Trevor Moran’s side. After missing his scheduled performance and looking pale as a ghost, it turned out that Moran was just “really dehydrated” and “overexcited.” Kids. No matter. Moran hit the stage after a few Gatorades (although we could have sworn he took a sip out of Honey Boo Boo’s Go-Go Juice), only to deliver a high-energy, highly inappropriate rendition of Lmfao’s “Sexy and I Know It.” The mix of singing, rapping and

Bring on the dancing dogs! America’s Got X Factor finished its Season 2 auditions Thursday night, and I, for one, can’t wait to see how the Pekingese and the Poodle fare when they get to Boot Camp.
Okay, okay, I’m being a cranky beast from Hades, but Thursday night’s X Factor installment felt more like NBC’s summer variety special than a search for a legitimate musical superstar. There was the 13-year-old kid who passed out backstage from “dehydration” — a dark part of my brain imagined him whispering “Mom, did you slip my that Rohypnol like I asked you to?...

Have you been holding your breath for the past 23 hours? When we left "The X Factor" on Wednesday night, 13-year-old Trevor Moran was being raced to the hospital. Yes, Trevor was annoying, but we hope he survives. Note that this is the third or fourth time that Fox has used the "Medical Emergency Cliffhanger" to liven up an otherwise dull episode of reality TV auditions. Each time, the hospitalized contestant has survived. So I've got a good feeling about Trevor. Let's see! 8:03 p.m. Et Seriously? Trevor was just dehydrated. In the final week of auditions, The X Factor showed America a ton of young hopefuls, a contestant passing out and the first singer to impress enough that I am calling him the Season 2 champion. Yes, already.

The Good
Dinah Jane Hansen: She lives with 20 people in a four room house, or at least that's what she told the judges. Her performance of "If I were a Boy" started out a bit shaky with the whisper, but once things got going she was pretty darn good.
Arin Ray: You may remember Arin from last season when he made it through the first few rounds, but was then place on the Frankengroup called inTENsity. I hated inTENsity, but vaguely remember Arin being one of the only few bright spots. Even if he was good last year,...

Fox continues to use minor tragedies and ambulances to shamelessly promote its musical reality competitions. Earlier this year, during American Idol auditions, we got our first auditions episode Cliffhanger when Symone Black fell off the stage during Hollywood Week. This time it’s 13-year-old YouTube sensation Trevor Moran, the little kid who danced around the Apple Store.

Tonight kicked off The X Factor’s final week of auditions, in which the judges’ panel headed east to Providence, Road Island in their quest for talent.
Starting off the night was a pair of men by the names of Adonis and John, also known to only themselves as “Original Greeks.” This seemingly confident duo declared that they would be singing Lionel Ritchie’s “Hello,” which seemed like a unique choice. Unfortunately, Adonis lacked the singing skills to back up John’s random “yeah” that was thrown in here and there in an attempt to put a rap spin on the song. With a lot of laughter and even a few “yeahs” of their own, the judges gave four solid no’s to the pair.

Wednesday night’s X Factor ended with the image of a 13-year-old boy collapsed in a heap in his mother’s lap, a flurry of producers and medics trying to figure out if he’d live or if he’d eventually die of embarrassment at the hands of Simon Cowell.
I’m not sure if the incident was a clever indictment of the lengths today’s youth will go to for a chance at fame, or just a happy (medical) accident that the show’s producers cynically used to fill out yet another two-hour audition episode. Maybe it was both.

Inspired by the success of 12-year-old Trevor Moran, who has racked up 5 million views on his YouTube channel, making videos of yourself dancing in an Apple store is now officially a thing. Consider yourself warned.
“I walk into the store. I act totally like a regular person and then I bust out and start dancing,” Trevor says. “That’s just like the best part because I walk in the store totally mellow.”
Trevor is a big pop music fan and has so far recorded himself dancing to Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Britney Spears. He records himself dancing freestyle on the store’s computers and uploads directly to YouTube. According to CNN, this is happening all over the country, so no one is safe.
Have you witnessed this in your friendly neighborhood Apple store? What did you think? Funny or did Trevor (or one of his friends in dancing) step on your toes?...
