Sunday’s SAG Awards ceremony will be a streaming event for the first time on the Netflix YouTube channel. One of the highlights each year is the special In Memoriam segment. It’s been a particularly rough year with over 100 deaths of prominent actors and actresses who were likely members of SAG/AFTRA. Show producers typically are able to include approximately 40-50 people in a tribute.
Among that group will certainly be Oscar winners Louise Fletcher, William Hurt and Irene Cara, plus nominees Angela Lansbury (a SAG life achievement recipient) and Melinda Dillon. Emmy champs Mary Alice, Kirstie Alley, Leslie Jordan, Ray Liotta, Stuart Margolin, Robert Morse and Barbara Walters.

Though filming wrapped on Three From Hell as far back as April of last year, director Rob Zombie has continued to find new details to tease in the months since, and in a recent social media post, the filmmaker confirmed one more Devil’s Rejects cast member who’s coming back into the fold.
Jossara Jinaro may not have been given a whole lot of screen time in the 2005 effort, but fans will almost certainly remember her standout scene. The actress played a maid named Maria, who was doing housekeeping at the Kahiki Palms Motel. After wandering into one of the rooms, she discovers Wendy Banjo with the skin mask of her husband’s face attached to her own.
Misunderstanding the situation, Maria runs away in terror, while Wendy pursues her in a creepy and hilarious homage to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. As one of the few survivors of The Devil’s Rejects,...

Chicago – What if you had a deep desire and passion to make a movie? Would you know what to do, how to go about it? Carmen Marron was in that spot seven years ago, with no connections, no clue on how to do it, only that necessary passion and desire. This Friday, her hip-hop dance film, “Go for It!” opens in 250 theaters nationwide.
The extraordinary journey of Carmen Marron is one of grit and determination. She learned the right process of movie making, sought the right advice and knocked on the right doors. She wrote the screenplay, directed the film and took it to the festivals, where it won four audience favorite awards. Lionsgate distributors contacted her last August, and is now releasing Go for It!. Carmen Marron is simply the little engine that could, a monument to the power of a can-do spirit.
