Congratulations, PopWatchers. After endless rounds of terrible auditions and prolonged canned moments of suspense courtesy of Nick Cannon, we have finally reached the finals of America’s Got Talent. Last night America voted Prince Poppycock, Michael Grimm, Jackie Evancho, and Fighting Gravity into the finals, leaving Michael Grasso, Taylor Matthews, Jeremy Vanschoonhoven, Christina & Ali, Anna & Patryk, and Studio One Young Beast Society behind. There was no judges’ choice this time, so the four advancing acts were clearly the most popular (and arguably the most deserving) acts of the entire competition. Although these performers have been miles ahead of some of...

America's Got Talent 5 has its final four: Fighting Gravity, Prince Poppycock, Michael Grimm, and Jackie Evancho, and they'll compete in next week's finale. That means magician Michael Grasso, singer Taylor Matthews, singing sisters Christina and Ali, dancers Anna and Patryk, and dance group Studio One Young Beast Society were all eliminated. The most amazing thing about all of this is that my two favorite acts are in the final two, and usually I give...

Prince Poppycock, Michael Grimm, Jackie Evancho and Fighting Gravity have become the acts to progress to the Top 4 of America's Got Talent's fifth season. Ten will enter, four will leave! While last night was not Agt's best night for fashion (see: Jackie Evancho, Taylor Mathews, Jeremy VanSchoonhoven), it was its best night for talent yet. And it's only going to get better because next week is the finale we've been anticipating since before we grew these long white beards. I also eagerly anticipate this week's "What's Poppin" Orville Redenbacher green room segment.
This season, there isn't a clear frontrunner, as Piers Morgan and Howie Mandel expressed in a conference call yesterday. Also, they cleared up the whole "Vegas act" debacle a little bit. First to the stage are the two sparkliest acts: Michael Grasso and Prince Poppycock, two acts totally worthy of the finale in my opinion. Like, wow, right away; Piers says he is "shocked." The first act moving into the finals is Prince Poppycock. I'm so glad he's moving forward, but sad to see Michael Grasso go,...

On "America's Got Talent," there is a lot of pressure to get bigger and and flashier every week. Nobody feels that pressure more than Michael Grasso, the first magician to make the "Agt" finals. Grasso was sent home during Las Vegas week, but he was brought back as a Wild Card.
"I know what it's like to go home and I know what it's like to make it to the Top 10," laughs Grasso. "I'm the first magician to make it to the Top 10, so it's a dream come true."
"For a magician, it's very hard and it's very expensive," he continues. "It's not like a singer where you can just come up with a new song. You have to come up with a bigger illusion and every act you do has to basically be a 'closer.' It's very difficult and the timeframe of practice is getting shorter and shorter.

Are you ready for the final 10 acts of America's Got Talent to go for it Tuesday night? People has dug up some revealing facts about the remaining acts: Taylor Mathews: The 18-year-old singer and musician from Alexandria, La., is friends with soul singer Marc Broussard. "He actually was the one I listened to on the radio and learned to sing to on the way back and forth from soccer practice in Lafayette, La.," Mathews says. "And I'm friends with him! It happened through my art teacher, so that was kind of mind-blowing. I never knew she that knew him! I...

Ten-year-old opera phenom Jackie Evancho? Sure thing. Resurgent magician Michael Grasso? Of course. But when performance troupe Fighting Gravity stood across from stunt cyclist Jeremy VanSchoonhoven on the America's Got Talent stage, it was anyone's guess how the votes would fall. Turns out that both acts made it through -- and now, after a semifinal performance night Tuesday that judge Piers Morgan described as "better than anyone that we've ever had," the top 10 is set. Of course, results night, which featured acrobatics from the Cirque du Soleil performers in La Reve and a hot number from solo star Jason Derulo,...

Last week, four out five acts that advanced to the Top 10 were vocalists. Last night, America’s Got Talent proved that it’s not just a holding pen for budding singers during American Idol’s off season. Five of the more interesting, unusual acts advanced last night, including magician Michael Grasso, cyclist Jeremy Vanschoonhoven (who managed to hit an impressive landing on Tuesday after the cameras caught his nasty fall during rehearsal), Fighting Gravity, Studio One Young Beast Society, and yes, opera singer, Jackie Evancho.

The last five acts have been chosen as the finalists in 'America's Got Talent.' They include the physics-defying Fighting Gravity, magician Michael Grasso, stunt bicyclist Jeremy Vanshoonhoven and judges' favorite Jackie Evancho, the pint-sized opera singer.
Studio One Young Beast Society was selected as the last finalist by the judges over singer Alice Tan Ridley. Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne voted for the young dance group first making judge Howie Mandel's selection a moot one.
"I am so thrilled," Mandel told TV Squad after taping. "I love not being part of that decision. I don't want to be responsible for sending anyone home. Tonight, I got to sit back and be like the audience. At this point in the competition, all the talent is worthy of going through." (Mandel says he'll save what his choice would have been for his memoir.)

Nick Cannon announced the five acts that would complete the Top 10 finalists on this season's 'America's Got Talent' (Wed., 9Pm Et on NBC). Were there any surprises?
[Spoiler alert.]
Well, one shoo-in made it through: the talented Jackie Evancho. The 10-year-old opera singer humbly thanked America for voting for her. More shocking was that 'Agt' will have its first magician in the finals: Michael Grasso.
The judges had to pick between Studio One Young Beast Society and Alice. Check the video for their decision and the other winners.

How many nights does it take to decide who's got talent in this country? Omg, tons. But at last, five more acts got the good news Wednesday that they'd be joining last week's top five in next week's semifinals on America's Got Talent. Did your favorites make the cut? Well, at least we're not looking at nine singers and one ballroom-dance team. America split the difference among the magicians, choosing the theatrics of illusionist Michael Grasso (who works with a hot partner) over the more root-vegetable-resembling Murray, who happens to hail from Las Vegas, where all of these contestants are hoping to end up with their own show—and $1 million—when all...

Tonight is going to be huge. It's the first results show I can't predict with certainty. Last night was the most talent we've seen in one episode yet and it was the first show to actually excite me. Let's get these results!
The first group on stage is Debra Romer, Michael Grasso, Murray, and Nathaniel Kenyon. Since they mixed up the results last week, I'm not sure how many (if any) will be moving into the Top 10, but ideally it would be Michael Grasso and Murray, or at least one magician. I do not think Nathaniel Kenyon and Debra Romer will move forward. Nick announces that Michael Grasso is moving on, and the big magician rivalry has come to an end (For Now). At least we'll get to see some more magic in the finals.

With five finalists, including Prince Poppycock, already in the top 10, it was up to four singers, two magicians, two dance acts, a pianist, a stunt biker, and Fighting Gravity to vie for the final five spots. "It was the best show we've had on America's Got Talent, as far as I'm concerned," says judge Piers Morgan. "I have never seen so many standing ovations, so much talent, so much variety." And, he adds, "in Jackie Evancho, one of the biggest stars we're ever going to find." Once again, 10-year-old opera singer from Pittsburgh moved the audience with her rendition of "Time to Say Goodbye.

The day has finally come, PopWatchers. I didn’t think we were going to make it, but we’ve reached the semifinals of America’s Got Talent!

Criss Angel is here tonight (on the show, not in your house but wouldn't that be terrifying). But on with the show, the first group is Kruti Dance Company, Michael Grasso, Swing Shift Sideshow, and Rudi Macaggi. This one's got to go to Michael Grasso. Yes! Michael Grasso and his disappearing ladies move on. There is justice in the world.
And now Criss Angel will try "something that has never been done before," will he make You "Believe"? Too much time was spent with the judges buckling him into the straightjacket and mugging. Now Criss will attempt the upside-down straightjacket escape in under one minute. He seems like a douchebag, I hope he doesn't make it, but he wiggled around and got out. Making their TV debut on America’s Got Talent this week, illusionist duo Magique Bazaar promised an act that was very ancient and is only practised by a handful of performers. We wonder if there is a reason for the rarity of the act? Yes it was rubbish! The pair did an elaborate dance where the mask changes colour…until the man fell off the edge of the stage. Lawsuit!
Howie Mandel joked that “From now on, when you come out on the stage, I think you should face us so you can see where the edge of the stage is.” Piers didn’t get the relevance of the act at all…..We don’t see a bright future ahead for Magique Bazaar!

Adorable Nathaniel Kenyon made his TV debut on last night’s America’s Got Talent and impressed the audience as much with his job choice as with his song.
After revealing that he works in an old peoples home, Nathaniel admitted that he took the job after his Grandma lost her battle with Lou Gehrig’s disease last year. Before he even started to sing, Nath had the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand!
We didn’t know the song that Nathaniel sang, maybe it was one he penned himself but we kinda liked it. Piers Morgan buzzed in after the first verse but the other judges seemed to think that the nervous youth had done well.
Judges Comments:
Howie Mandel: I noticed your leg shaking, your hand shaking, you’re really nervous aren’t you? You are a good looking young man who has a talent.

Cruise ship performer Nick Pike impressed the judges on last night’s America’s Got Talent TV show.
As the auditions moved to Orlando, Nick told Sharon, Howie and Piers that he was about to perform a “dangerous” routine that he has never attempted before. He said:
“Well I thought I would be on a 6 foot unicycle that’s on fire, while juggling fire, then juggle 3 clubs, do a flip, begin juggling five balls, do some break dancing that makes me really dizzy, and when I am very dizzy I thought I might juggle a chain saw!”
We thought he was joking, but no Nick really did do all those things. He promised to do a riverdance if he dropped anything, which he did, but the entertainer later claimed that he dropped it on purpose so that he could do a jig for Piers.

Magician Michael Grasso impressed the America’s Got Talent judges, the audience and the viewers on last night’s show.
Michael revealed to the cameras that he has been practising magic since he was ten years old. With the look of a true Las Vegas act, he locked a pretty girl inside a perspex box, as all good magicians are wont to do. And somehow…he covered her up and they traded places. It all happened in the blink of an eye. We have no idea how he managed it, but it was pretty impressive.
Judge Howie was stunned by the trick but managed to utter “wow”. Sharon Osbourne told him:
“That was executed superbly”
Piers Morgan added:
“That was absolutely brilliant”.
Three yeses and Michael was on his way to Las Vegas baby!
